Radical Grace: the Shiva Durga Union Online Experiential Workshop

Working experientially with the Shiva asteroid in alignment with the Black Moon/Durga and, with the Sun and Venus wrapped around the radically expansive Jupiter Uranus conjunction.

This workshop was created to celebrate a unique union in our collective astrology, between the Shiva asteroid and the Black Moon, the latter being a Western version of the warrior mother goddess Durga. This is a very powerful manifestation of the Shiva Shakti relationship between sacred masculine and sacred feminine in each of us in an alignment that only occurs for one month in every 3 1/2 years and is exact on this weekend.

Synchronistically, it also coincides with a multiple conjunction of the Sun, Venus, Uranus and Jupiter in Taurus, an exceptional astrological event in itself but which also forms a grand trine involving the Shiva Durga conjunction in Virgo and, the transformative Pluto in early Aquarius.

This is Astro speak, astrology’s way of saying that this weekend is a unique opportunity for accessing archetypes within each of us that offer the experience of great healing, dramatic breakthroughs in our emotional, spiritual and relationship lives, coupled with tremendous grace, expansion and liberating change.

This includes the potential for experiencing and empowering and exquisite union between the sacred masculine and sacred feminine within.

The workshop is totally experiential; that is, you don’t need any experience or knowledge of astrology to be able to fully participate. We use active and passive meditations, dance and movement, dialoguing techniques and a form of astrological medicine wheel, all of which allow you to connects with these great and gracious powers within yourself.

Below you will find instructions of how to prepare for this half day workshop and once you have booked in, you will be sent a copy of the Zoom link and the symbols for each of the archetypes we are working with.

Bookings are essential – before the day of the workshop! – so you can be prepared to participate.

Sacred Healing Circle

As we are going to be working experientially with a symbolic archetypal system, we have found over many years of experience that the creation of some form of sacred circle makes the work more powerful and more accessible.

We encourage you then to create some form of symbolic circle prior to the workshop starting. This is totally optional though and if this is unfamiliar territory for you, you will still be able to participate fully just using Aries and Taurus and the symbols for the Sun, Moon, Jupiter,  Uranus and North Node.

If you have room, a circle or similar shape ideally can have a radius of 2 m but smaller is OK too. Once it is laid out, it becomes a healing space that supports you in accessing the parts of self you’re working with. Here’s an example in the image above/left.

To create such a circle, feel free to be creative using whatever symbols, statues, sacred objects, crystals, the 4 directions or objects of nature that feel right for you. This includes a circle using images for the signs of the Zodiac if you have them. Just have the sign cards laid out with the Aries and Taurus images facing inwards in the real or imaginary circle so that his card is about a metre from your computer. (this way I can see you easily when we are working with him) Have the Aries and Taurus cards about 2 feet, 70cm, apart.

Keep the archetype symbols, planets and Nodes cards within easy reach initially outside of the circle. I’ll direct when to bring them into the wheel.
