The later versions describe her as the original wife of Adam\, pre-Eve\, who goes into exile and becomes a winged demoness after demanding equality in all things from her husband only to be met by scorn and rejection. After leaving a trail of destruction\, driven by unhealed rage and trauma from the loss of her babies\, she eventually comes to an extraordinary redemption\, eventually acting as a role model for the true empowerment of women (and the inner feminine in men!) \nThe astro-mythologist Demetra George describes the three stage journey of Lilith through the astrological positions of the Lilith asteroid\, the Dark Moon and the Black Moon\, (positions not to be confused with the phases of the Moon) \nThese positions in our charts are where we carry the accumulated pain\, trauma\, grief and rage of generations\, lifetimes and ages of women who abdicated their power\, individuality\, intelligence and sexuality for the sake of physical survival\, security\, socially acceptable sex roles and relationships with men in patriarchal societies. Jupiter is traditionally the planet of growth and expansion\, good fortune\, abundance and positive movement forward. \nTo our minds and hearts\, he brings trust and faith\, the belief in a benevolent universe\, light into the darkness\, and is an agent of grace in many forms. \nTo our intellects and spirituality\, he lifts our awareness\, expand our horizons\, opens us to foresight and accurate intuition and challenges our places of resistance\, conservatism and limitation in the urge to create greater freedom and joy. \nHe is both King and teacher\, a positive side of the father archetype\, a benevolent leader who inspires and invigorates. \nIn India\, he is the guru planet\, connected to the great sustaining powers and expressed in the form of Ganesh\, the benevolent elephant headed god of wisdom and grace. \nWhen Jupiter goes into Sagittarius all these aspects get highlighted\, given greater freedom and our view of the universe opens up. And he will spend the next 12 months expanding the expressions of Sagittarius. \nOn one level this is party time\, a time to celebrate grace and abundance in all its forms.
