Three Faces of Lilith and the Sacred Marriage

An Experiential Archetypal Workshop, For Women and Men

Patriarchal versions of the Lilith myth have had many people think that this goddess is an irredeemable demoness whose manifestations are all destructive. It suits the patriarch for us to believe this, as the justification for the continuing suppression of the deep sacred feminine.

Similarly, many people then consider Lilith to be anti-men and anti-relationship. However, if you look more closely at her myth, she came into the world driven by the desire to create authentic, equal, respectful and transformative relationship. This was always, and always will, be part of her DNA, however much that can be covered over with layers of pain and rejection, trauma and distortion.

Like Kali and Parvati in India, she is not anti-male – what she really wants is a Shiva man!

In this workshop, at a time when the Lilith archetype is high in the sky, we are going to journey through the three stages of her myth using practices that will assist us to release her trauma and distortions, in order to unlock her profoundly loving, fierce and tantric essence.

The Astro-mythologist Demetra George describes these three stages as reflected by the Lilith asteroid, the Dark Moon Lilith and the Black Moon Lilith, astrological bodies who are all interconnected on this weekend.

As this is an experiential workshop, involving practices that connect you directly with this goddess within yourself, it requires no knowledge or background in either archetypal psychology or traditional astrology. Nor with the archetypes of the sacred masculine and sacred marriage.

What it does require is for you to bring your curiosity, your courage, an open mind and a willingness to feel your feelings more deeply.

This workshop then offers you opportunities to:

• redeem those ancestors who either went under to the suppression of the deep feminine or acted it out destructively.

• clear shadows off your hearts and lower chakras to enhance the quality of your relationships.
• melt internalised defences that diminish your capacity for intimacy.
• own a very powerful and intelligent spiritual warrioress within yourself.
• reclaim the sacredness and naturally tantric quality of your sexuality.
• create space for the Sacred Marriage between the deep feminine and the sacred masculine within.
