On this day The Leo Sun lines up perfectly with the Kali asteroid, shedding light and conscious awareness on this much misunderstood goddess.

She has an unfortunate and inaccurate reputation for being aspect of the feminine that is enraged, vengeful and destructive. And while she can certainly become like this in some peoples psyches, it suits the old patriarch to have justification for wanting to reject, control and push her further into the unconscious.

In truth you’ve the great spiritual warrior, who was created to defeat the Demons who threaten the natural balance of life. Certainly when she is on the job, she is fierce, powerful and unconquerable and within each of us, she serves to cut away ego structures that keep us separate from our deeper authentic selves and from our primal psychospiritual power.

Certainly, she has a no bullshit approach to naivete, denial and unconsciousness and is a great lover of truth, because it is only from getting to the raw truth of things that any real change, transformation and authentic spiritual enlightenment can happen.

She is therefore a magnificent warrior and ally in our inner lives, our healing journeys, our spiritual quests, our longing to create authentic relationship with ourselves and with loved ones.

Like the lightning bolt, she is also a radical spiritual awakener and is associated with great movements of Kundalini energy within our bodies, our chakras and in our relating to lovers. Like her mythological mother Durga, she is a core Tantric Shakti within each of us who lights a purificatory fire to our chakras and our bodies so that we can step towards her alter egos in the form of Lalita, the goddess of sacred sexuality and Parvati the goddess of the sacred marriage.

Ultimately, underneath her fierce face, her radical actions, she is full of the great love, the love Of the Great Mother for all living creatures and all of life itself!

Along with the potential for accessing these different faces of her energy are heightened by the experiential practices we will be using (no astrology background or knowledge needed!), in the workshop we will be…….

• Dancing with Kali.
• Dialoguing with Kali.
• Meditating with Kali.
• Feeling into Kali and feeling her within.
• Flushing and opening our chakras with Kali.
• Awakening Kali in our bodies and our sexuality.
• Inviting Kali to help release trauma and rage.
• Cleaning and sharpening the swords of our spiritual warriors.
• Removing shadows off our hearts so that we may love more fully.

Cost: $260, concession $180, payment plans avaliable at the checkout.

Wear: loose comfortable clothing so that you are free to dance and work on the floor.

Daniel is a therapeutic and spiritual astrologer, primal therapist, group leader and professional trainer who was initiated into the Shiva Shakti traditions of India at the age of 20. He brings 45 years of spiritual practice and 39 years of professional experience in working multidimensionally with the different parts of self.

He is a great lover of Kali and her temples figure prominently in his yearly India Goddess tours, the next of which is in October.
