Most of us have had the experience of starting our descent at the end of the plane flight, when engines throttle back and go quieter, where we feel like we are slowly floating towards the ground, and where the plane is most likely to be impacted by different forms of turbulence. We are coming to the end of our journey but aren’t quite there yet

In some ways the month of December is a bit like that; a kind of liminal space, when there is still forward movement but slowed to where things go quiet, where surrender is being asked of us in contrast to our ego drives and our anticipation of potential new beginnings in the New Year. The engines of organic movement are in idle mode, while we navigate different layers of both turbulence and opportunity.

Mars continues to retrograde through Gemini and even Jupiter is now stationary at 28 degrees of Pisces for most of the month.

As we know, this is the wild Centaur’s month, usually one of dynamic, expressive, generous and abundant energy. However, as we will see, Sagittarius’ energy is being significantly modified and, in some ways, even suppressed by archetypes in Gemini, Virgo and Pisces, all elements that contradict this fiery and intelligent extrovert.

You will be glad to hear, and read, that many of the constellations and processes that have frustrated and stressed most of us out in 2022 are starting to separate and move into new territory in these next months.

In the meantime we can expect turbulence.

While things will not be easy in the outer world and there will be a great deal of psychic messiness, this is also a perfect time for deep healing, psychic flushing and purification using both deep spiritual and therapeutic practices.

Even though Jupiter and Neptune are not exactly conjunct, they are also close enough to offer a great support in this inner work. Make use of it!
