A Full Moon opposite a Gemini Sun is never a quiet week. The archer and the twins are in productive tension and the sky carries an undeniable charge. But the deeper invitation this week lives in Cancer, where Venus moves with Psyche and Hygeia in a conjunction of rare beauty. Sacred love. Soul depth. Organic healing. This is not theoretical. It is available in the body right now if you slow down enough to meet it. Alongside this, Chiron and Persephone are stirring old losses toward the surface. Grief and power are close companions here. This Week’s Astrology (May 31st – June 6th)

A potent Full Moon for focusing our minds, our actions and our power.

An exquisite relationship conjunction infuses our emotional beings but meets some significant obstacles, while the healing energies are both expansive and penetrating.

Sun in Gemini opposite Moon in Sagittarius at 10° of each, one that polarises the differences between the cerebral Twins and the action orientation of the Centaur, while offering a broader view of their complementarity. Both are lovers of knowledge and thought while the latter always has an eye on what can be done with the information.

Both Sun and Moon form positive aspects to the goddess of marriage Juno in Aquarius and, to a powerful stellium in Aries, reflecting forward movement and learning on the longer term relationship front, while combining well with the dynamic individualism of Aries.

The latter is very much a call for action enhanced by the fiery emotionality of the Sagittarius Moon. This is a very good week for translating ideas and feelings into creative and effective action!

Mercury, still in Gemini but days away from going into Cancer, sextiles Persephone and Chiron in a close conjunction in Aries. Here is another place where the dexterity of Gemini is given form and direction, this time towards our healing processes and downwards towards the mysteries of our underworld processes. The latter conjunctions speaks of the surfacing of old wounds around loss that need appropriate grieving, while offering opportunities for significant initiation into greater psychospiritual power!

Mars in Taurus is separating from his duel with Pluto and from his beloved Venus, only to go into conflict with Juno, around stubborn resistance and individualism versus the eclectic game-changing of the latter in Aquarius.

Venus conjunct Psyche and Hygeia in Cancer in an exquisite combination of deep love, soul longing and tantric healing which speaks of the possibility of extraordinary heart and spiritual openings, organic experiences of sacred sexuality and spontaneous healing.

However the whole conjunction comes into tough aspects to the Pallas, Saturn, Medusa and Shiva collective in Aries bringing some significant dampeners on the deeper levels of emotional intimacy offered in Cancer.

Nevertheless, Jupiter is still in Cancer offering a positive and expansive counterpoint to the stoic work ethic of his mythological father Saturn.

What old grief or loss is close to the surface this week, and what would it mean to give it proper time rather than moving past it too quickly?

Practice
Stand with bare feet on the ground. Take three deep slow breaths into the belly. On each exhale let your shoulders drop a little further. Then walk slowly for two minutes. Feel each foot meet the floor. Notice what thought or feeling stays with you as you move. This is the body beginning its translation between what is felt and what can be done.

Archetype Spotlight: 

Psyche is the soul in search of genuine union. Her myth is a journey through trials, grief and devotion that ends not in rescue but in deep transformation. This week Venus moves alongside her in Cancer, amplifying the soul’s longing for contact that is real, sacred and fully seen.

In psychological terms Psyche represents the part of us that will not settle for surface connection. She emerges when we are hungry for something that recognises us at the level of essence, not performance. She is patience and longing and inner fidelity held together.

This week let Psyche move through you by being honest with yourself about what your heart most deeply wants. Do not rush to resolve the longing. Psyche teaches that desire, held with tenderness and truth, is itself a form of initiation.
