Chiron enters Taurus after 47 years

Welcome Dear Ones,

We are at the solstice threshold. The Sun has just crossed from Gemini into Cancer, and the week ahead is full of oscillation, between high heart energies and deep psychic currents, between fierce feminine power and real obstacles in the field. Chiron entering Taurus calls the whole picture back to earth, to the body, to the slow and sacred work of healing what we have been carrying for too long.

This is a rich and complex week. If you want a personal map through your own version of these energies, my astrology readings are designed to give you exactly that. Somatically and psychologically grounded, and offered with care.

This Week’s Astrology (June 21st – 27th)

This week our vision of the cosmos continues in its complexity, its paradoxes and its sheer messiness. Tectonic shifts continue as Uranus adds extra charge to the movement of fellow transformers Neptune and Pluto, while Chiron gives us an early preview of his work in the next years in the sign of Taurus.

The Sun starts the week on the very cusp between Gemini and Cancer and so is transitioning from pouring out his solar energy through our minds in Gemini, to light up the watery, emotional realms of the Crab, heralding a time of energising our feeling selves while bringing more consciousness to our emotional needs and patterns.

In this transition he positively energises the soul-purpose reflectors known as the Nodes of the Moon, supporting movement away from the limitations of the past and towards our future collective and personal visions.
On Thursday though he forms a wierd aspect to the nebulous Neptune, while simultaneously connecting with the Witch Queen Hekate. This is a good one for spiritual and magical practices but not great for clarity in the outer world.

A Virgo Moon conjuncts the mischievous and seductive Eros, with the two in exquisite sextiles to a tight healing combination of Psyche, Hygeia and Mercury in Cancer, one that is full of heart and chakra opening possibilities. In marked contrast to these heightening energies however, is an equally powerful call into the lower realms of our psychic-emotional selves from the purificatory Black Moon. Expect some significant oscillations between the high and low ends of our emotional spectrums.

The same opportunities reflected in the combination of Mercury, Psyche and Hygeia, are met by similar paradoxes. A fiercely powerful alignment of Kali and Mars in Taurus deepens and empowers us to act on those potentials while Shiva and Medusa, still close in Aries, produce significant obstacles. Here dark and light powers entangle in ways that can mess with our mental clarity and effectiveness. And like much of the outer world, even with alleged peace treaties, things will remain very messy.

Venus continues her dance through the outgoing Leo having weathered an intense opposition to Pluto last week and is now positively energised by the edgy feminist Lilith in Gemini. Here these goddesses can have some serious fun but don’t get in their way! Which could be a problem because Venus also opposes the more mature marriage goddess Juno in Aquarius,
in a clash between different stages of relationship evolution.

Finally and significantly, Chiron the Wounded Healer entered Taurus overnight, for the first time in 47 years, for a brief visit before retrograding back into Aries in September. While he has been supporting the healing of our fire energy in Aries for the last years, he is now turning his attention to healing our relationship to the earth, our bodies and to the nurturing and sustaining energies of life. He will go fully into the sign of the Bull in April next year.

Go well, be kind and patient with yourself and with others.

Daniel

Reflection + Embodiment

Journal
Chiron has moved into Taurus to begin healing our relationship with the earth, our bodies, and what sustains us. What is one old wound around embodiment, nourishment, or safety in your physical life that is ready for some gentle attention?

Practice
Lie down. Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart. Breathe naturally for two minutes, just noticing the rise and fall. Then, on your next inhale, imagine drawing warmth and light in through the soles of your feet. On the exhale, let that warmth move through your whole body. Repeat eight times. Rest in stillness for a moment before you rise.

Archetype Spotlight:

Chiron is the keeper of the wounds that make us wise. He is the centaur who could heal others but could not fully heal himself, and in that paradox he became one of the greatest teachers in the mythic canon. His entry into Taurus after 47 years marks a turning point in how we collectively relate to our bodies, our earth, and the slow, patient energies of life.

In psychological terms, Chiron in Taurus points to the places where we have not felt safe in our own skin, where survival anxiety has overridden our capacity for pleasure, rest, and belonging. The wound here is often pre-verbal, held in the tissues rather than the story. Healing does not come through analysis but through touch, breath, nature, and the steady kindness of returning again and again to the body.

This week, notice where you have been absent from your physical self. Begin the return gently. Chiron does not ask for dramatic transformation. He asks for honest, grounded care.

Readings That Go Beneath the Surface

Your birth chart is not a fixed destiny. It is a living map of your soul’s patterns, and it can be read in a way that goes beyond the intellectual and lands in the body. In a personal reading the astrology meets your actual lived experience, your psychology, your patterns, and the felt sense of where you are right now. And points to new possibilities.

If you have been feeling the tectonic shifts of this season and want support finding your golden path through it, a personal reading can help.
