THIS MONTH’S ASTROLOGY |
The month begins with a potent Full Moon for focusing our minds, our actions and our power, an exceptionally powerful psychospiritual stellium in Aries, an exquisite relationship conjunction that can infuse our emotional beings, while the healing energies are both expansive and penetrating. |
|
A Full Moon is one that polarises the differences between the cerebral Twins and the action orientation of the Centaur, while offering a broader view of their complementarity. Both are lovers of knowledge and thought while the latter always has an eye on what can be done with the information. |
|
This is an extraordinary mix of primal and spiritual powers wishing to be intelligently channelled and made effective in its expression in the world. |
Medusa reflects the raw power of the sacred feminine in our lower chakras, while Shiva meets this energy with both yogic detachment and tantric engagement. We’ve been tracking this dynamic duo for many weeks but now they are joined by the refined and penetrating intellect of the warrioress Palace Athena, who seeks to bridge the sacred masculine and sacred feminine to express their combined potency in the world and in our spiritual pursuits. |
|
Mercury, still in Gemini but days away from going into Cancer, sextiles Persephone and Chiron in a close conjunction in Aries. Here is another place where the dexterity of Gemini is given form and direction, this time towards our healing processes and downwards towards the mysteries of our underworld processes. The latter conjunctions speaks of the surfacing of old wounds around loss that need appropriate grieving, while offering opportunities for significant initiation into greater psychospiritual power! |
|
Mars in Taurus is separating from his power struggle with Pluto and from his beloved Venus, only to go into conflict with Juno, between stubborn resistance and individualism versus the eclectic game changing of the latter in Aquarius. As Mars seems content to dig in with his focus on manifesting materially in the world, his resistance to change tendencies rub up against the prolonged and seemingly ungrounded changeability of the goddess of marriage in the highflying realms of The Water Bearer. |
|
This is a breathtakingly exquisite combination of deep love, soul longing and tantric healing which speaks of the possibility of extraordinary heart and spiritual openings, organic experiences of sacred sexuality and spontaneous healing. \ |
Psyche is a part of self that longs for soul to soul union in partnership and is a higher octave of Venus (and mythologically her daughter-in-law!) who has qualities of both Aphrodite and Neptune that manifests as feelings of deep devotion and potentially, great heart openings. Her relationship to her husband Eros echoes that of Radha and Krishna in India. |
Hygeia is simultaneously a Goddess of healing and hygiene and, a Kundalini goddess of spontaneous and sometimes miraculous healing, including sexual healing that she shares with her Indian counterpart Lalita Devi the goddess of erotic spirituality. |
So, as you can imagine, this can produce some extraordinary heart openings and spontaneously tantric experiences, in the emotionally deep and juicy realms of Cancer. |
However the whole conjunction comes into tough aspects to the Pallas, Saturn, Medusa and Shiva collective in Aries bringing some significant dampeners on the deeper levels of emotional intimacy offered in Cancer. These inhibiting factors can include unhealed rage, tendencies towards disassociation on an inner level and the day to day demands of the outer world getting in the way. Once again, here is an initially messy alchemical combining of powerful individualism and deep emotional longing for connection. |
|
This exact alignment offers powerful healing around old wounds to do with loss, sudden separations and earthshattering abuse including sexual trauma. Both are archetypes can take is deeply into our pain, dropping internal depth charges to flush out and purify this energy, whether it is strictly personal to us or absorbed from parental or generational sources. Within this dynamic are opportunities to grieve in ways that are deeply healing and releasing. |
Both archetypes also share the ability to provide significant psychospiritual initiation into greater personal empowerment which includes access to great knowledge and wisdom. day to day demands of the outer world getting in the way. |
|
In some ways Uranus and Sedna represent two extremes, the cosmetic Uranus with his out there consciousness and the Goddess representing the depths of the ocean, which is the psychic ocean that we all live in. Her realm includes primal layers of power and intelligence, the mysteries of the unconscious and hidden layers of trauma including transgenerational influences that most of us haven’t been able to unravel and release. |
At the Sydney workshop on the 14th I will be sharing some of these to set the stage for the whole day of experiential exploration of this once-in-a-lifetime consolation. Join us if you can. |
With love and blessings, |
Daniel |
