When intensity and instinct collide
Welcome Dear Ones,
There is a lot happening beneath the surface this week, even when things look calm from the outside. Nervous energy, relational tension, and real opportunities for growth are all moving at once. It can feel like a lot to hold.
If you are craving a clearer sense of what is yours to work with right now, a personal reading can offer real ground beneath the noise. Not answers that bypass the feeling, but ones that meet you in your body and your actual life.
Whatever this week brings up, you do not have to sort it out alone or in your head only. Let your breath lead the way in.
This Week’s Astrology (July 12th – 18th)
This week carries a fascinating blend of inner intensity and outward momentum. Powerful mental, emotional, and relational currents are moving simultaneously, inviting us to balance reflection with decisive action. While tensions are certainly present, so too are remarkable opportunities for healing, creativity, and the deepening of our relationships with both ourselves and others.
The Sun in Cancer starts the week conjuncting the retrograding Mercury, so you can imagine the energies of the Sun pouring into your nervous system and, along with some other indicators, making it an additionally busy, high-energy week, even if much of that is internally busy.
They then form a high-tension square with Pallas Athena and Vesta together in Aries, a combination that seeks to contain and strengthen our thoughts and nervous energy so that it can be expressed more effectively and dynamically out there in the world. Expect some stress between your internal mental preoccupations and the fiery outward action urges of Aries.
We start with the Moon in Gemini, sitting on the tricky interface between mind and emotions, yet given more stability from the Earth Mother Ceres and more bite from the fierce feminist warrior Lilith. This three-way sisterhood can produce some heated interactions, particularly if a loved one is threatened or disrespected. There will also be opportunities to get moving on emotionally significant projects of creativity as the three form great aspects to the same dynamic Pallas/Vesta combination in Aries.
Venus has just entered Virgo for some relative quiet time after being in boisterous Leo for the last month.
While her outer expression is toned down by this earthy priestess and fertility goddess, she is nevertheless still very potent and in a pivotal part of the chart. She will spend most of the week in conjunction with Parvati, the goddess of the sacred marriage and the ultimate wife of the great Shiva, an opportunity to step towards greater relationship maturity.
It’s worth checking out the Parvati/Shiva mythology to learn about this loving, tantric, and potent goddess who brings extraordinary depth to our relating. It just so happens that Venus and Parvati are in great relationship to Shiva, as well as Medusa and Chiron, adding great psychospiritual healing power to the equation.
However, these lovers are in hard aspect to the unpredictable and potentially eruptive energies of Mars, Uranus, and Kali in Gemini, intensifying that age-old conflict between relationship development and the need to experience a radical, independent expression of individual uniqueness. Both offer extraordinary developments in our personal growth, but in completely different directions, and appear to be working at cross purposes with each other, adding another point of significant stress in the collective.
Nevertheless, help is available, as Jupiter is conjunct the healing goddess Hygeia while still aspecting Chiron in early Taurus, along with his travelling companions Medusa and Shiva. So there is no lack of Shakti, and more obvious grace around for working with both the lower and upper chakras.
Go well with it all!
Daniel

Journal
What am I trying to control with my mind that actually needs to be felt in my body?
Practice
Sit comfortably. Clench your fists tightly for five seconds, then release completely, letting your hands go loose and heavy. Repeat this three times. Notice the difference between the gripping and the letting go.

Archetype Spotlight:
Shiva is the great dissolver, the one who clears away what is no longer true so something more real can take its place. He is stillness at the center of transformation, the container strong enough to hold deep change without being destroyed by it.
This week he stands in powerful relationship to Venus, Parvati, Medusa, and Chiron, a rare alignment of destruction and devotion working together. This is not chaos for its own sake. It is the kind of ending that makes real intimacy possible.
Practical takeaway: ask yourself what old pattern in a close relationship is ready to be released, and let it go with intention rather than force.
