July is going to be a very intense month, with a great deal of contradictory energy and a mix of positive forward movement and, continuing frustration and challenges. It can be a transformative one if we are prepared to go deep enough, an empowering one if we can connect with the deep sacred feminine, and despite all of this, in some areas we can still get some really good work done.

Part of the intensity is due to the extraordinarily high concentration of goddess energies straddled between the Sun and Moon, a mixture of light and dark goddesses that are additionally powerful in the maternal sign of Cancer. This is the kind of energy that demands that we pay more attention to our emotional selves, be prepared for working with a great deal of psychic emotional baggage arising and, that we tap into the deeper intelligence and potency of the feminine, psychologically and spiritually.

Fortunately, the great healers Chiron, Hygeia and Hekate are strong in support of these goals, while the benevolent and forward facing Jupiter is aspecting much of the Cancer energy.

As for getting stuff done, the action god Mars at the end of Aries has good support from Mercury and Saturn but will hit some major confrontations with the deeper powers of Pluto. Another point of frustration is the ongoing squares from Saturn and Shiva to the Nodes, which describes some of the older karmic challenges of this time that are putting the squeeze on most of us as well! Alongside all these heavy duty psychological, emotional and spiritual challenges though, we are getting some light relief and rebalancing from Mercury and Venus moving through Gemini. These are points of greater light, freedom and flexibility that will also give us some welcome detachment, playfulness and increased potential for identifying the creative possibilities of this time.

Take care of yourselves, take care of emotional business and get some quality nurturing, not just for our adult selves but for the inner child as well.
