The chart for November comes two days after Lunar Eclipse on October 29 and so carries very similar themes into the coming month (as well as a number of months after!) This includes an unusual juxtaposition between grace and intensity, reflected by Jupiter in Taurus in opposition to many of the seven archetypes lining up in Scorpio at this time.
By its very nature Scorpio is always intense in however it expresses but as we will see, this is not a “usual” Scorpionic period as the conga line in the sign includes Persephone, Lilith, Sun, Mars, Mercury, Ceres and Parvati!
As you can see there is more than a fair share of hot and potentially volcanic energies in the brew. Let’s see what we can make of it.

Sun in Scorpio conjunct Lilith asteroid and Mars, all opposite Jupiter in Taurus
The emotional, psychosexual potency and passion that drives Scorpio is both exaggerated and made that much edgier when the Sun is sandwiched by two great archetypal warriors.
Lilith is a combination of tantric goddess, demoness, feminist and spiritual warrior, who in our charts is often a carrier of ancestral and cultural trauma, pain and rage from the suppression of the potency, independence and intelligence of women and the feminine in general.
On the other hand, Mars is a great male warrior, an action man, a god of desire and phallic potency with a great deal of dynamism and assertiveness.
His relationships of Lilith have been traditionally one of great conflict and even great hatred towards each other. Their joining around the Sun has the potential for being very explosive given their origins, so we need to be rather careful with what we do, and don’t do, with any anger or conflict that arises during the course of the month. However, the conjunction also offers the potential for an empowering alignment of their two energies, a union of two great warriors driven by passion and creative power.
It all depends on how much healing work we’ve done around distortions to both. And it also depends on what impact the usually benevolent Jupiter has on this three-way conjunction, which will also vary depending on what our deeper selves needs at this time. At is very best, Jupiter will inject positive energy into the line-up that supports a healthy uniting of the two powers and thereby making the Scorpio Sun even more potent sexually and creatively. If you can successfully balance out the passion, intensity and grace of this period you can achieve a great deal and make a significant difference in our offerings to the world. Be especially careful around the 13th to the 17th, when the Sun and Mars line up exactly together in opposition to the explosive Uranus in Taurus. Alternatively, do some major physical and emotional release work leading up to this period.

Sun/Mars/Mercury in Scorpio, in T-square with Jupiter in Taurus and Eros/Hygeia in Aquarius
Let’s be honest here. Both Scorpio and Taurus can be very stubborn, rigid and resistant to change, particularly when threatened and are very good at digging in. But along comes the Eros/Hygeia conjunction in the sparky side of Aquarius, offering a healing and playful mix of energies that have greater freedom, light and detached perspective. Jupiter then will have greater receptivity and resonance with what’s on offer here, while Scorpio will be encouraged to trust the same offering.
We can certainly use this energy to help with Scorpio’s challenges, by taking risks in vulnerability and self expression, whether through emotional release work, ecstatic dance, great orgasms or tapping into any high quality healing work at this time. One of the big questions to ask ourselves is, how much is our anger, resentment, emotional inflexibility is locking us up and getting in the way of opportunities for healing. And then having the humility to ask for help, because there is grace and help available here.

Mercury conjunct Ceres and Parvati in Scorpio, opposite Uranus in Taurus
With Mercury in Scorpio, this planet of the mind tends to be quieter and more introspective because it is drawn into the emotional and psychological depths of the sign, having the urge to understand our deeper selves highlighted at this time.
In touching the earth mother Goddess Ceres who is also known as Demeter, it links our thinking processes to parts of our feminine that are deeply loving, supportive, compassionate and empathetic. So, it is a useful time for the usually cerebral Mercury to link with different layers of emotional intelligence and with the stabilising earth mother within.
In aspecting Parvati, the goddess of the sacred marriage and consort of Shiva, Mercury contacts a more exalted form of the feminine that confers an even greater intelligence around relationships. She contributes to our thinking both access to higher spiritual knowledge but also the attributes of commitment, resilience, dedication and self-discipline.
However, the opposition to Uranus presents a radical contrast of unpredictability to this more emotionally deeper and connected process in Scorpio. Whether through shocking and/or liberating insights into ourselves, through our minds opening to receive psychic and spiritual downloads, or simply the outer world throwing some major spanners into the works, through disruptions, unpredictable events or challenges around being more mentally flexible.

Venus in Virgo conjunct Shiva, trining Uranus in Taurus, opposite Neptune in Pisces
Venus’ transit of Virgo has this goddess of love in a much earthier, quieter mode that when she was moving through Leo. And while she is much more reserved in this sign, she also has great depth because she is accessing the earth priestess/goddess energies of the sign. One of the key qualities here is that of containment, of balancing out the desire for relationship with the need to be authentic and true to oneself.
Her meeting with Shiva then is a very interesting one. It’s like a shy young woman falling for the bad boy, or the disciplined yogini meets a wild, mad mystic; in both cases she gets challenged and potentially liberated.
This sense of being both shaken and stirred is reinforced by the trine to Uranus and the opposition to Neptune, both of which have the effect of opening up Venus to greater opportunities for individual freedom, greater heart-openings and spiritual connectedness.
There are some spectacular opportunities spiritually and sexually in this rather tantric of arrangements. However, the opposition to Neptune, while potentially heart opening, can also have us projecting idealistic fantasies onto others, or getting sucked into situations that are not what they seem.

Saturn goes direct at 0° of Pisces November 4th
Normally, specific transits from Saturn into a planet, point or asteroid typically last around the month. However, when he goes stationary that can extend the length of the transit considerably. This will apply to any position in your birthchart at or around 0° of any sign, as Saturn will be aspecting that position for 2-3 months. Call it an intensive in character development if you like.
At 0° he is still in opposition with the Black Moon who is at the beginning of Virgo, the same transit we spoke of last month that made the last weeks of September so very intense psychologically, due to the mutual purification and dismantling of each other’s shadows.
While this process continues, the Hekate asteroid, Witch Queen and Medicine Woman, has just stepped into Virgo as well and is also exactly opposite Saturn. This heralds a similar process, as Hekate and the Black Moon have some similar energetics directed at the old patriarch, while Saturn will challenge us around the use or misuse of the multiskilled, multidimensional mistress of magic and healing. Both can carry distortions that are highly toxic, manipulative, gas lighting and vicious.
