Leader Teacher Pioneer

This month’s chart is very similar to the one for March, primarily because retrograding Venus and Mercury have rejoined the North node in Pisces not far from Saturn, while still being conjunct Neptune.

The most significant difference here though is that as of March 31st Neptune entered in Aries the first time in 150 odd years. This comes as a long-term challenge to the Ram, a fire sign that doesn’t do so well classically with the watery, psychically fluid and and ego-thwarting energies of this planet.

The Aries Sun feels a little lonely initially this month, that is if you are not including multiple aspects he has to the asteroids but, there is an enlightening and positively energising sextile to the benevolent Jupiter. Simultaneously a Taurus Moon is sandwiched between two Tantric goddesses while forming aspects to a host of other asteroid goddesses, all in all including Parvati, Hygeia, Ceres, Lilith, Pallas Athena and Hekate!

It’s going to be another “interesting” month, with many opportunities amidst the collective and catastrophic craziness.

Sun in Aries sextile Jupiter in Gemini

This is a great aspect to start with. Both energies are highly extrovert, dynamic, forward moving and are constantly developing and exploring life. Jupiter is a great counterbalance to depressive and despairing forces, by helping us maintain optimism, to see the bigger picture, to anticipate positive outcomes even in the most dire of circumstances. Like his Indian counterpart Ganesh he reminds us that grace is ever present, and by linking up with the adventurous Aries, Jupiter in Gemini enhances a positive mindset with lots of ideas for the Ram’s drive towards creative action.

Sun the Aries conjunct Psyche, sextile a Lilith/Pallas Athena conjunction in Aquarius

Psyche is a higher octave of Venus, an exquisite goddess of love who stretches us beyond selfishness to be able to love fully and unconditionally. Even though she is relatively subtle, Psyche confers a tremendous psychic emotional sensitivity, that can nevertheless haunt us with her deep longing for soul union, whether within or with significant others. Average human relationship that lacks that soul connection will never be enough for her and therefore she can manifest as experiences of deep disappointment.

Taurus Moon Conjunct Parvati and Hygeia

This is an incredibly lush, sensual, and fertile alignment—one that resonates deeply with Tantric energy. The healing goddess Hygeia, often associated with kundalini awakening and sacred sexuality, intertwines with Parvati, the ultimate consort of Shiva. This combination invites us to deepen our relationships, enhance emotional and sexual intimacy, and embrace the sacred feminine within our own bodies.

Mercury retrograding in Pisces conjunct Venus, North Node and Saturn in Pisces, conjunct Neptune in Aries

Here the planet of the mind, of learning and communication is in the middle of a rather messy place, sandwiched between the often stern wisdom and realism of Saturn and, the nebulous, confusing and ultimately mystical Neptune. While these two non-personal planets are 7° apart they are linked by the presence of Mercury, Venus and the North Node, creating what’s called a stellium, a multiple conjunction.

Saturn and Neptune closing in on each other represents processes of deconstruction of the old, of dissolving the mortar between the bricks of our life structures, inner and outer. It describes a tremendous amount of uncertainty, confusion and anxiety where it can be hard to sort out the difference between what is real as opposed to delusional, what is true as opposed to false information, what is clear accurate insight or the projection of our own unconscious.

Mercury will go direct on April 7 to then return into Aries on the 17th. These represent turning points around exiting the messiness and for gaining greater traction and clarity in moving forward.

Venus in Pisces conjunct Neptune, North Node and Saturn

As Mercury and the goddess of love continue their tight tango, she faces similar challenges and opportunities. With Saturn on one side and Neptune the other, we can expect a fair amount of relationship turbulence and uncertainty, especially as a retrograding Venus can bring up unresolved issues in our unions with others.

This tango with Mercury continues as Venus also goes direct motion on the 13th and will trawl her way through the last stages of Pisces through the rest of the month.

Mars in Cancer Trining Saturn, North Node, Venus, Mercury, and Sextiling Uranus in Taurus

At the start of the month, Mars is in a solid and supportive position, bringing his assertive, can-do energy to our emotional needs while in Cancer. Though he expresses himself relatively calmly in this sign, be mindful—if anything or anyone he loves is threatened, his protective instincts will flare.

With his trine to the stellium in Pisces, Mars is poised to act on any newfound clarity, insights, or visions emerging from the North Node’s operations. His influence gives Mercury extra drive, assertiveness, and even a sharper edge. In his trine with Venus, Mars injects dynamism into the goddess of love, amplifying both her passion and creative expression.

As Mars’ trine to Saturn becomes exact, Saturn serves as a stabilizing force amidst ongoing disorienting deconstructions. Saturn generally supports creative and structural manifestations rooted in healthy realism, but he will firmly reject anything built on delusion or half-baked ideas. This means that while some areas of our lives will receive clear support in moving forward, in others, we may experience a harsh wake-up call.

The Uranus Factor

Uranus, the cosmic wild card, is growing stronger in the collective, forming an exact sextile with Saturn, Mars, and the close North Node–Venus–Mercury conjunction. His expression varies depending on individual maturity—he can appear as an adolescent rebel, a dark wizard of disruption, or a force of undeniable genius, as seen in figures like Einstein and Stephen Hawking. For everyone, however, he represents our unique brilliance.

Mars Moves Into Leo Finaly!

After an unusually long stay in Cancer, Mars shifts into Leo on the 18th—a moment of liberation as he steps into the fiery, expressive energy of this sign. A true Yahoo! moment of reclaiming freedom and vitality.

Jupiter in Gemini Trining the Lilith/Pallas Athena Conjunction in Aquarius, Squaring Ceres in Pisces, Conjunct Rudra

Jupiter, the great benefic, is gaining momentum this month, moving roughly one degree per week—from 16° Gemini at the start of the month to 21° by the end. Any planets or asteroids in your birth chart within this degree range will receive an aspect from this expansive and benevolent giant.

Conjunct Rudra!? Rudra, a fierce storm god linked to destruction and transformation, amplifies Jupiter’s expansive energy with raw, primal force. This conjunction may bring sudden, forceful shifts—whether in personal perception, societal structures, or spiritual awakening. While it carries a wild, untamed energy, it also offers immense potential for breakthroughs, especially when channelled into bold action and fearless exploration. (Come to the Yallingup workshop to connect with this spiritual warrior!)

 Neptune in Aries

Neptune takes between 12 and 14 years to get through a sign of the Zodiac, as part of its 164 Year Cycle around the Sun. The last time he was in Aries was in 1861 to 1875, which was inclusive of the American Civil War (something that has alarming parallels at the moment!)

As I mentioned in the introduction, as a fire sign, egocentric and very masculine energy, Aries traditionally is not fond of deep emotions especially on the vulnerable end of the spectrum.

Neptune calls upon the Aries part of ourselves to turn within, to soften and sensitise its masculinity, taking risks in owning its vulnerability and allowing that to be seen. This obviously includes integrating the subtler, more spiritual aspects of self along the way to adding a more expansive range of perceptive ability to the signs already existing power of intuitive action. In the long run, over the next 14 years, what is on offer is the transformation of its egocentric tendencies into becoming an authentic spiritual warrior. (This is another driver behind the Rudra workshop on the fifth. Also notice that Neptune energy has many resonances with the yogic aspect of Shiva energy!)

At the same time, we must acknowledge the shadow expressions of this combination, because in some people Neptune can manifest as an idealisation of significant people, aspects of self and pathways of life. For instance, the original Nazis were a quasi-mystical cult, that worshipped hyper-masculine deities called the Aryans. Hitler himself had hijacked significant symbols from different mystical traditions, including the swastika from Hinduism. You can see this playing out in current religious and quasi-religious traditions that exaggerates the destructive power of the masculine at the expense of the feminine, the environment, of compassion, empathy and our essential spiritual unity.

The paradox here is that all these latter parts of life are positively enhanced by well-integrated Neptune energy!

May we be protected from the worst of these distortions!

Once again take good care of yourselves in this turbulent period in our evolution!

With love and blessings,

Daniel
