December is going to be a significant turning point for us on a number of fronts. While the Sun and Mars are well into Sagittarius, Mercury, the Black Moon and Venus are still in an intense relationship at the end of Scorpio. However, at the middle of the month all of them will be in the more spacious and extroverted territory of Sagittarius. This will be a significant relief for many!
The stationary Grand Trines in water, and their inter-connected Kite involving Uranus, will also start to dismantle, with Jupiter and Saturn going their own ways by the end of the month.
Each of these transitions will have some significant spikes and radical unpredictability while they are in these final stages of release. (You’d think we’d gotten used to them by now?!)
In squaring the Nodes, the fiery energy of the Sun will push the energy of Virgo to loosen up, take some risks and even have some good rollicking fun, while adding his action mojo which specialises in acting on our greater visions and sense of life purpose represented by the watery North Node. This will light something of a fire underneath the creative, mystical and ultrasensitive Pisces.
Thank the gods, Mercury has moved on from his retrograde period! And while he is about to engage exactly with the Grand Trine with Jupiter and Saturn (peaking on the first weekend) for some positive optimistic movement and earthy stabilisation, he will also be catching up for another crossing of the dark mother Black Moon on the 10th and 11th.
We can expect the quality and clarity of our thinking to be powerfully influenced by nonrational forces within, that are often intent on cleansing old baggage, while giving us some powerful lessons around the raw truths about our unconscious and subconscious workings.
Venus has also been doing it tough of late, having her own underworld journey with the Black Moon in the last week of November, making for uncomfortable and often necessary relationship reviews for many folk. And now she is in a volatile T-square with Uranus and Lilith! This speaks of potential blow-ups if issues haven’t been faced, but if weathered well, is immediately followed by supportive aspects to Pluto and Ceres as she enters Sagittarius for a more oxygenating period in the sign.
The healing energies of the month will become more obvious as Chiron and Eros together square the benevolent Jupiter together on the 21st, by which time all the inner planets will be in Sagittarius. May it be an exuberant and healing Christmas for all of us, after such a tough year!
