THIS MONTH’S ASTROLOGY

Once again, this month begins soon after a New Moon, this time in Pisces, adding the Moon to a conga line of planets, asteroids and points in the sign i.e. Sun, Saturn, Mercury, North Node, Psyche and Neptune! So, we can expect an excessively watery time, one that is emotionally and psychically highly fluid, one which is great for spiritual practices, healing, the creative arts and performance, but not so good in terms of a stable outside world.

Saturn alone stands like a tower of strength in the middle of this ocean, increasingly so as the Sun joins him mid-month, supported by good aspects to Mars. So, our ability to navigate the shifting psychic environment will progressively improve, allowing us to continue to get stuff done!

Nevertheless, the month will be pivoting around an extraordinary Total Lunar Eclipse on the 14th, a hyper charged Full Moon for deep and radical change, for opening up our personal soul visions and offering opportunities for significant karmic busting. It will then be followed by a partial solar eclipse on the 29th.

Sun in Pisces squaring Jupiter in Gemini

Having the two biggest lights aspecting each other is generally a positive thing, even when the aspect is a traditionally hard one. The expansive qualities of Jupiter reflect back to us even more energy than it gets from the Sun, in what is usually an aura of great benevolence, positivity and optimism. While these heightened energies will be around, this square joins two mutable energies that can be highly unstable and unpredictable, where the ground feels like it is, constantly shifting.

Both the Sun and Jupiter has to do with aspects of our ego structures but the latter can easily turn into highly egocentric expressions laced with arrogance and negative King-like energy. Obviously there is more than enough of this on the global scale at this time. (It is a sobering thought that most of the leading Nazis had fabulous Jupiter aspects in their charts!)

In our own personal lives, the challenge is to hang on to the ever present grace behind the appearance of things that Jupiter also represents. And to watch out for any form of excess, taking on too much, reacting as opposed to responding and being watchful for the inner and outer tricksters.

Moon in Pisces conjunct Saturn, trining Mars in Cancer and sextiling Uranus in Taurus

A Moon/Saturn conjunction is traditionally a rather dour combination where we have the natural lunar emotionality meeting the harder realism and necessary influences of Saturn. The range of expression here can go from healthy containment, to buckling down to face the challenges of this time, all the way towards succumbing to depression and despair. (Both are semi-sextiling Chiron the Wounded Healer in Aries, mixing wounded and wounding energy into the collective potentially adding to the latter.)

However, the trines to Mars in Cancer (now in forward motion – hooray!) can allow concentrated emotional energy to be expressed powerfully in the world thanks to the red-blooded qualities of this warrior deity, who is working better with their water energies of both Cancer and Pisces. Not only can we get things done physically with better forward movement, we can get better at expressing our emotional needs, desires and the ability to set appropriate boundaries.

The sextile from the Moon and Saturn with Uranus announces the emerging presence of a Uranus Saturn sextile the will colour the whole of the next 12 months, even as both of them stick their heads into Aries and Gemini respectively. Despite an unfortunate mythological history, another father-son conflict, these two joining in this way offers a bridge between the earth the practical realism of Saturn with the eclectic, revolutionary and hyper- intelligent brilliance of the sky god Uranus. This is tremendously supportive of technical, electronic and scientific innovation, for entrepreneurial enterprises and for breakthroughs on the spiritual/intellectual interface.

Mercury In Pisces conjunct North Node, Psyche and Neptune

In the bigger picture, the planet of the mind has just exited a tough Mercury/Saturn conjunction, will cross the North Node and Psyche on the 2nd,  Neptune on the third and go into Aries on the fourth. He will get to 9° of Aries on the 15th at which point he will retrograde once again (groan) and re-enter Pisces on the 31st. They don’t call him mercurial for nothing!

This tells us that Neptune is still conjunct the North Node, so this opening into the dreams and visions of this futuristic messenger is still very much available. Being joined by Mercury suggests that insight, intuition and even overt psychic ability can become more apparent, especially for those using meditation and other spiritual practices to make themselves available.

Of course, Neptune can be a tricky and slippery customer in many individuals and the line between authentic vision and delusion is indeed very thin, as is our own psychic autonomy versus collective psychosis and, with what psychology calls participation mystique. This is where seemingly conscious, normal people get swept up in some form of collective delusion or social fashion. So, it is fair to say that we are getting a mixture of both positive and negative expressions of Neptune on the North Node.

Venus in Aries retrogrades on the 2nd, sextile Jupiter in Gemini and goes back into Pisces on the 28th

As Venus is moving slowly as she turns around at 10°, the sextile to Jupiter will be in be in play for a couple of weeks instead of a couple of days!  We can certainly do with the kind of light relief represented by that to Jupiter and to the playful, mischievous Eros in Aquarius both of whom are normally good fun and great for partying.

Just as she goes back in Pisces, she conjuncts Neptune and the North Node on the solar eclipse, another opening to greater experiences of love, mixed with visions of future relationship and creative possibilities. Indeed, a planet like her crossing the North Node can bring new love interest into some people’s lives but being around Neptune one needs to be wary of projecting idealistic images on others who don’t deserve such attention. Watch out for seductive predators as well, especially with Saturn hovering!

Mars in Cancer, trining Saturn in Pisces, squaring Chiron in Aries

This god of desire and physical drive is also moving slowly having gone forward motion on February 24th. We’ve spoken earlier about the trine to Saturn, the latter’s ability to give form and structure to the creative drives of Mars, and it is a trine that will be in place for the whole of the month. If we can handle the psychic emotional turbulence of this time, we can do a lot of catch up in areas wherever we express our Mars energy in, whether work, physical exercise, pursuing our desires and passions. Keep in mind that he is still in Cancer, so while he draws from the rich emotional depth of the sign, he still is a yet in full-blown expression. This will come when he goes into Leo on April 19th.

While in the sign of the crab however, he is more receptive to the moderating influences of Saturn and more available to being taught by a wiser agency.

Mars squaring Chiron in Aries

While Saturn is supportive, here our efforts to create and move forward may be thwarted by the wounded masculine, whether within ourselves or reflected by others. Chiron in Aries speaks of suppressed or distorted fire energy that can turns into fear, internal limitations and self-sabotage and/or compensates by going hyper- aggressive. Whatever the case, no matter what the outer expressions, whenever Chiron is involved there is always opportunities for healing.

Total Lunar Eclipse – March 14

5:59 PM AEDT | 2:59 PM AWST
27°23′ Pisces & Virgo

This powerful eclipse offers an opportunity to break old karmic patterns, ride a transformative wave, and align more deeply with your soul’s purpose. Its energy, amplifying Neptune on the North Node, creates a potent shift.

Additionally, this eclipse previews the upcoming Saturn-Neptune conjunction, which will shape the coming year. With the Sun, Mercury, and the North Node caught in this alignment, we are invited into an alchemical process—bridging our worldly and spiritual lives.

Partial Solar Eclipse – March 29

8:47 PM AWST | 11:47 PM AEDT

While not as intense as the lunar eclipse, this Aries New Moon carries strong energy, forming sextiles with Pluto, Lilith, and Pallas in Aquarius. Though not exactly on the North Node, this eclipse still interacts with the ongoing Saturn-Neptune influence, joined by retrograde Mercury and Venus—stirring fluctuations in mental clarity and relational boundaries.

For Tantrikas and those considering our Indian Shiva Shakti tour, this eclipse brings a special gift: a conjunction of Hygeia, the kundalini goddess of healing, with Parvati, the sacred consort of Shiva. Rooted in earthy Taurus, this alignment offers powerful spiritual and tantric awakening opportunities.

Navigating This Time

Expect a karmically charged, transformative period filled with soul-aligning opportunities. Stay grounded, be discerning about the energies you engage with (especially online), and practice self-care during intense moments.

Jupiter, now moving forward after a quiet phase, will soon bring more tangible blessings.

Wishing you grace, blessings and alignment,

Daniel
