THIS MONTH’S ASTROLOGY

Our astrology chart for the start of this month is relatively mild, the least combative one in many months. The chart, and the month itself, is easily overpowered though by the next round of eclipses: beginning with a total lunar eclipse in the early hours of the 8th (Australian time), followed by a partial solar eclipse at a similar time on the 22nd. My regular readers will know that I see all eclipses as major opportunities for deep inner work and major breakthroughs in our healing, spiritual, and relationship evolution — and these two are no exception.

While the chaos reflected by the Saturn–Neptune conjunction continues, this month has major energy lines around healing and tantra, with both Mercury (and later in the month Venus) lining up with the great healers Chiron, Hygeia, and Chariklo. So, whatever gets thrown up by the eclipses, we have tremendous support around working with ever-deepening processes of healing.

The interrelated emphasis on relationship healing and tantra is reflected by strong positions of Shiva and his consorts, the pinnacle of which is represented by a rare and exact conjunction of the benevolent Jupiter with Parvati, the goddess of the sacred marriage and the ultimate wife of this Yogi God. Grace, power, and love mix beautifully here.
