Quiet skies, deep purification

Welcome Dear Ones

There is a calm before the louder wave. You may feel it as breath returning, space returning, or emotion rising after weeks of mental buzz. Aquarius keeps the nervous system awake, alert, and scanning. Then Pisces begins to soften the inner weather, inviting feeling, intuition, and a more devotional pace. This is excellent medicine for meditation, spiritual practice, and honest inner listening. Still, the middle of the week can stir the waters. Go slowly, and choose simplicity.

If you are longing to hold your vision with steadier hands, I am offering a workshop on the Saturn and Neptune conjunction. It is a grounded way to navigate the current chaos, and to shape what wants to be born.

This week is a relatively quiet one, at least initially. There is still a great deal of energy in Aquarius, maintaining a constant buzzing in our nervous systems and in our physical actions, but the inner personal planets are moving into the quieter, more emotional energies of Pisces during the week. Be appreciative of this because next week we are entering a period of radical instability and disruption.

The Aquarius Sun continues to hang out with the Shiva asteroid, a significant mind opening energy coupled with great Tantric and yogic power with more than a touch of detachment on top of Aquarius’s natural tendency in that direction. This is good for meditation and other spiritual practices.

We start the week with the Moon in Scorpio squaring the transformative Pluto in Aquarius but trining Mercury now in Pisces. This is a mixture of intense, and often darker, emotions reflecting transformative processes, while still offering a good connection between mind and emotions.

Mercury is joining the hyper-intelligent and multifaceted warrioress, Pallas Athena, in Pisces exactly on Tuesday, conferring an incisive ability to concentrate our thinking, and to penetrate into even deeper layers of both awareness and intuition. However, the next day the planet of the mind in rather watery Piscean mode gets squared by the Black Moon in Sagittarius, another purificatory process that is not always pleasant.

The lovely Venus is still in Aquarius but squaring the unpredictable Uranus in Taurus, a set up for relationship disruption where the desire for connection hits up against the need for individual space and freedom. It can be good for breaking up boring or outmoded routines and patterns of relating, or trying out some edgier sexual practices, for instance. She also goes into the much gentler Pisces, a happy place for her, on Wednesday.

Mars in Aquarius is still conjuncting Vesta, Medusa and Shiva, a curious mix of primal power, containment and detachment in a brew that can stir up or trigger old anger and rage, but if channeled, can be very effective. Nevertheless, if the deep feminine is happy and connected, we can draw from her deep sacred power to infuse our actions, coupled with the heightened awareness of the Shiva masculine.

Expanding deeper into the Goddess realm, Kali and Lilith are exactly aligned in Pisces, and in good aspects to the liberating, wizard aspect of Uranus in Taurus, a rare combination between dynamic masculine and feminine powers. These feminist and activist goddesses are catching up with Saturn in Pisces, just as the three of them go into Aries –  expect some major assaults on the patriarchy in all its forms!

Go well, take care in the middle of the week, and use the opportunities for deep purification and transformation.

Pallas arrives like a blade of discernment in the mist. She does not rush, and she does not over-feel. She sees patterns, priorities, and the most elegant next move. This week, her gift is precision. Not perfection, but clean seeing.

Psychologically, this archetype helps when emotion is intense or when the mind is scattered. She steadies the inner council. She asks, what is true, what matters, and what is the next right step.
