THIS MONTH’S ASTROLOGY

Sun in Taurus conjunct Lilith square Juno in Aquarius, square Eros in Leo

The Sun Lilith connection has been building for the last week and is now perfectly exact, reflecting another critical point in the damage being done across the planet, a heightening of collective tension and temperature. Like any of the Dark Goddesses Lilith can be very destructive, particularly when she is loaded up with accumulated rage, bitterness and toxicity, the understandable consequences of suppression, denial and persecution of the deep sacred feminine over the course of centuries and civilisations. (Note that she is also a Middle Eastern goddess, with more than enough similarities with the Indian Kali!)

More personally, her presence can activate the very same within ourselves, depending on how much work we have done to release her distortions and bring her back in from her exile in the mythological desert.

She can also awaken the rage and power inherent in the Taurean Bull, the Minotaur, so be particularly attentive around interpersonal communication and potential conflict.

But when she is happy and onside, whoa! She is a fierce and loving ally, a slayer of BS, denial and unconsciousness, and ferocious in asserting the intelligence, power and tantric potency of the feminine particularly around injustice and inequality.

So you will be seeing and experiencing a mixture of dark and light here.

Moon in Libra opposite Mercury conjunct Chiron in Aries

In the Australian chart, the Moon is exactly overhead at Uluru at midnight and apart from the invisible Black Moon, is on her own in the buildup to the Scorpio Full Moon.

In astrological symbolism she is like the handle of a bucket, attempting to hold up the world with her Libran longing for peace, harmony and kindness, trying to rebalance the intensity and weight of all the energy in Aries and Taurus.

In opposing the Mercury/Chiron conjunction she will also illuminate both the wounding and the healing potential of this combination. We may have experiences of how wounding the use of words and language can be, we may get insight into how deeper wounds influence the quality of our communication and, we may come to understand aspects of our wounding more deeply and be able to act more consciously to further awaken the natural healing power inherent in each of us. This is a timely reminder that words can wound and words can heal.

Venus in Gemini sextile Parvati and Eros in Leo, sextile Saturn in Aries, trine the Pluto/Juno conjunction in Aquarius.

As you may have heard me rave in the Cosmic Compass videos, in the midst of global trauma, trouble and disturbances, Venus continues to get the best aspects out of all the inner planets, something that’s been going on for weeks. Perhaps the universe is saying, hang on to the sweetness of love and the preciousness of our loved ones at a time when there are so many threats!?

In trining Pluto, we are being offered more flowing pathways to get more aligned with the collective dismantling of old and redundant conditioning around what constitutes committed relationship. We may start to get some ease around some knotty relationship challenges for instance.

Mars in Aries conjunct Persephone, square Jupiter in Cancer

As many of you will know, our inner masculine warrior and action man can be quick to anger with all its potential towards outbursts of violence, especially in the often combative, competitive and egocentric energies of Aries.

A conjunction with a goddess who co-rules the death and rebirth cycle can be another activation point in further violence and destructiveness on the planet, and especially with the squares to the normally benevolent Jupiter. This planet is an enlargening influence, which can expand on whatever quality of energies it connects with and so its shadow includes arrogance, hubris and avarice.

On an inner level though, Persephone always call us to increasing levels of psychological depth and awareness, to facing our shadows, to have our naivete and unconsciousness shattered. In diving into this territory, it can shift the way Jupiter expresses to that of a supportive guide and conscious teacher, in this case around how Aries and his Martian ruler operate in our psyches.

Uranus in Gemini

Uranus is now wholly in Gemini, after a brief visit last year, and so is going to spend the next seven years revolutionising the Twins, our minds and spiritual consciousness, and obviously our technology, the latter at a pace even greater than we’ve ever known. The same applies to the house or houses in your birth chart that the sign straddles. Expect some dramatic change in that area of your world, both unsettling and potentially liberating.

Go well,

With love and blessings,

Daniel
