Before you read this please have a look at my current Nova article to get a broad overview of February’s astrology.
As you will read there, it’s going to be an incredibly dynamic month, but the reality is that there will also be some significant frustrations to the full expression that dynamism.
Even visually, the chart and its aspect patterns are formidable, with five clusters of multiple conjunctions in Capricorn, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Aries, the latter four of which interact powerfully and positively with each other.
It is a spectacular chart, which could superficially be interpreted as being an easier month. However, each of the conjunctions has one or two of the great transformers and/or dark goddesses, meaning that we are all going to need to dig deeply to make the best of the multiple opportunities for great healing and life changing experiences.
Fortunately, most of the protagonists get great aspects from the benevolent Jupiter and so there will be a great deal of obvious grace and fluidity around these processes as well.

The Saturn and Pluto conjunction in Capricorn

Technically speaking, these two energy giants aren’t exactly conjunct just yet but at 6° apart are clearly in communication, a connection that was initiated by the January 6 eclipse which sat on the midpoint between them.
They will dance slowly around each other for the duration of the year, coming within 3° in March, April and May before culminating to an exact peak in mid-January 2020. So, the tectonic shifts in our culture, our environment and our inner and outer structures will wax and wane accordingly.

Pluto conjunct South Node in Capricorn

This is another one not exact at the moment but close enough to be worth mentioning. Anything big crossing the South Node of the Moon will inevitably dredge up a great deal of past life material, a complex of good and difficult karmic influences.
The two will come together in late March/early April, which will be a peak in processes of unravelling, even cracking open, old karmas while attempting to bring through great knowledge and power gathered over many lifetimes. (And if your worldview doesn’t include reincarnational theory, the same applies to the dredging of both personal and collective unconscious influences, that then liberate deep intuitive and pre-existing levels of wisdom and power)
These next four months then will be intense for these reasons and will be an excellent time for regression work, Shiva Kali style meditations and any processes they give you access to the primal layers of being.
This also offers us greater access to some of the core mysteries of why we, as souls, have incarnated this time and what some of those core purposes are.
This will be happening in the house in your own chart that contains the last third of Capricorn.

The North Node in Cancer

This month’s chart is also what used to be called a “bucket chart”, that is, a situation where most of the obvious action is in one of half of the chart while one archetype stands alone in the opposite half therefore having a pivotal influence.
This month that archetype or point is the North Node of the Moon (and in the Australian version of the chart, this North node is conjunct the Midheaven, the highest point in the sky)
So, while all this dynamic action is happening below, including great karmic shifts represented by Pluto on the South Node, while all our chakras will be simultaneously challenged and excited, this point above talks to us about opening to the visions of what our individual souls would like to achieve in this lifetime. Or at least give us more pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that is our ultimate reasons for being here at this time.
More specifically, these opening occurs wherever the last segment of Cancer is in our individual charts. So be alert to significant dreams, meditation experiences, spontaneous downloads or even sudden fantasies that have an extra energy about them.

Lilith conjunct Pallas Athena in Libra

Here is a meeting of two potent feminist warriors, which at their best are an incredibly focused expression of psychospiritual power! Pallas occupies a space halfway between the masculine and feminine worlds, acting as a channel for the wisdom and creative intelligence of the deep feminine to be expressed with great clarity and one pointedness into a masculinised world.
Lilith represents the deep primal feminine with its mixture of great and deeply loving Shakti with overlaying layers of distortion, the legacies of generations, lifetimes and eras where the individuality, wisdom and intelligence of the feminine has been dishonoured. This is another place where we will carry unhealed rage and related traumas.
This is the other place I didn’t mention in the Nova article where this ancient material sits in our psyches and, where we are encouraged, to put it mildly, to work with purifying these distortions. The more we can do that, the more she can show us her pure tantric beauty as well as the fierce spiritual warrioress she is.
This simultaneous demand and opportunity is magnified by the fact that Lilith and Pallas are exactly opposite the Mars/Kali/Uranus opposition in Aries, an already explosive combination, while sending sextile’s and trines respectively to the Moon/Venus/Persephone/Medusa conjunction in Sagittarius and, to the Shiva/Black Moon conjunction in Aquarius!
This hyper charged situation is likely to get triggered by the transiting Sun and Mercury during the first three weeks of the month, as they catch up with Shiva and the Black Moon and setting off all the other interconnections in the process.
(This twin process of purifying and re-owning the dark feminine represented by Lilith comes to an awesome peak on the weekend of the 16th and 17th, when the sun conjuncts Shiva in late Aquarius and with the two aspecting all three faces of Lilith represented in contemporary astrology; the Lilith asteroid, the Dark Moon Lilith and the Black Moon Lilith. This was the catalyst for offering the Lilith experiential workshop in Sydney on that weekend!)

Venus conjunct the Moon, Medusa and Persephone In Sagittarius

This is a very strong start for Venus, strong in her loving, strong in her depth of connection to these other goddesses, which will simultaneously put a major emphasis on relationships for the month and, with the clearing up of old business in our relationship histories.
There is nothing superficial about this multiple conjunction as it connects our loving with the great powers for truth, transformation and purification, in ways that are not radically different to the actions of Lilith above.
What is often forgotten is that the so-called dark goddesses are also Shakti goddesses and therefore goddesses of the essence of tantra, the deepest union of masculine and feminine inherent in our organic, pure and sacred sexuality. So, this is clearly a profoundly tantric month, reflected by the Shiva/Black Moon conjunction, by the Mars/Kali conjunction, in the awakening of Lilith and now with Venus in connection with two goddesses of the underworld.
For those courageous in their loving, this is awesome support to cut through bullshit, denial and unconsciousness in our relating and in our relationships, to face the demons that inhibit our capacity for true intimacy, for clearing shadows off our hearts.
In the fruits are equally awesome especially in the creation of increasingly authentic relationship, as when Venus in Sagittarius gets going, you can love with, and be loved by, a hugely generous and heart full power, that is wild and free, courageous and truthful, dynamic and expressive.

Go well with all of that!

With love and blessings,

Daniel
