Firstly, have a look at the current Nova article which gives you a broad overview of the swirling psychic astrological environment of this month. Click here.

Hygeia Conjunct Chiron in Pisces/Aries
Here we have two of the great healing archetypes meeting, a form of sacred marriage between the kundalini goddess of healing and the Wounded Healer, a feminine/masculine unity of healing power and sacred knowledge. Their ways are very different, but complimentary: Chiron’s masculine drive is to pierce deeply into our wounding in order to flush out psychic emotional residues absorbed from others, while simultaneously initiating and awakening a powerful sacred masculine that is wise, compassionate, fierce and healing.  Alternatively Hygeia offers spontaneous organic healing any time we can surrender deeply into our emotions and bodily energies, whether physical or subtle. As the Western equivalent of Lalita, the goddess of sacred sexuality she is also an initiator into sexual and spiritual awakening of great power.
Their uniting makes available tremendous healing opportunities for all of us and any practice, whether physical, spiritual, emotional or sexual that drops us beneath the day-to-day operations of our minds, will be significantly more effective because our organic healing energies are close to the surface. (This is one of the reasons why the Tantric, transformation and sacred marriage workshop was so successful!)
The placement in both of our birthcharts describe pre-existing healing skills, often concealed by layers of wounding, as well as healing and sacred knowledge gathered over many lifetimes. At times like this we get to participate in ever deepening healing on our core wounds, while making greater connections to this ancient knowledge and skills.
This is a particularly auspicious line-up for those born in the early 1970s, which was the last time Chiron was in the sign of Aries. Not only are these individuals having their Chiron returns now or in the next few years, but many were born with Chiron conjunct Hygeia as well. The Chiron return alone is a massive period of transition especially for those consciously on the healing journey, as when he returns to his birthplace he gives us deeper access to layers of wounding that in the past were impenetrable while initiating us into becoming more powerful healers in the world.
So when he is travelling with this healing goddess, his Shakti or feminine counterpart, the depth and breadth of these healing opportunities increased exponentially.

Eros conjunct Hygeia and Chiron
Currently the two are also travelling with the Eros asteroid, placing an additional focus on sexual healing, the inner adolescent and commitment issues in long term relationships, with the goal of awakening this playful, mischievous and enlivening god of love.
It also represents opportunities to heal old relationship pain caused by the shadow expressions of Eros; betrayal and infidelity, commitment phobia, immature partners, sexual game playing, issues of trust and safety. Chiron and Hygeia will assist in piercing into and releasing old wounds around this territory. One of the offshoots of this healing work is that it presents the possibility of balanced and refined Eros energy as a healing power in itself, whether in personal relationships or in facilitating relationship, sexual and tantric healing. With the latter, for those practitioners with great integrity and clear boundaries, this can be a major leap forward professionally. However, the shadows of Eros can be equally empowered, so be selective and discerning in your choice of practitioners.
Since Eros is the archetypal partner of the soul relationship goddess Psyche, and given that she is still exactly conjunct the expansive, benevolent Jupiter, the more healed Eros energy is inside us, this goddess of the most exquisite love becomes more present and available!

Mars conjunct South Node in Aquarius
Anything conjunct the South node is going to bring out past life territory around that particular archetype, so in this case, we only have to think about the positive and negative expressions of Mars, the warrior archetype, to get a notion of what is surfacing from our more distant past.
So here we will meet the unfortunate legacies of the misuse of masculine warrior energy, as well as opportunities to recognise related karmic patterns, and to purify and refine the expression of Mars in this lifetime. This could involve a number of different practices, whether past life regression, anger and rage work, releasing ancient frustrations, resentments and toxins, as well is forgiveness work around past life identities, and experiences, that have compromised or shamed the expression of masculine energy in this life.
On another level, and especially with Mars in Aquarius, there are also images of spiritual warriors, wizard energy and masculine identities able to mix heightened intelligence with forthright physical and empowering action.
Anything crossing the South Node presents opportunities for reclaiming and integrating this energy while effectively into the now.

Hecate on the North Node in Leo
Here we could say, “all hail the magnificent Witch Queen!” as anything travelling with the North node is presenting a re-emergence, a new expression of the archetype arising from the unconscious that wants to be incorporated into the visions of our collective future.
While Hecate has a very mixed reputation, with patriarchal teachings about untrustworthy demonic sorceresses, which is fortunately changing, I prefer to see this goddess as the ultimate medicine woman who, like other great powers, has positive and negative past influences.
I also see her as the third great healing archetype along with Chiron and Hygeia, so it is particularly auspicious that she is in great aspect, via trines, to the Chiron Hygeia conjunction. More healing and transformative power available to all of us.
This is a time when we can consciously envision future possibilities for the expression of this multidimensional goddess while also being available to spontaneous insight and the downloading of her own unique flavour of knowledge and skills. She is more than available to being dreamed up at this time.
However there is an opposition between her and Mars on the South Node, both in turn squaring Uranus, so we can also expect some eruptions stemming from unfinished business and ancient conflict between masculine cultures and the earth based goddess traditions. Having said this is important to acknowledge that both have their share of atrocities, so don’t fall into the naive notion that the masculine was always the perpetrator of pain, as if we look close enough, both are implicated in cycles of trauma and revenge spanning lifetimes. Whatever arises here though, it comes at a time of great healing and transformation and so can be positively, powerfully worked with and progressively healed.
As that happens, Hecate, like her energetic sisters and cousins Lilith, Medusa and Kali, can show us the very best of what the deep sacred feminine brings to our current visions.
While the T-square with Mars and Uranus is a volatile and disruptive dynamic, at midnight at the start of the month, Hekate is also part of a grand sextile, one of the most integrative aspect patterns that creates a Star of David like configuration. This pattern includes Mercury, Hygeia and Chiron, Mars, the Midheaven, and Persephone, representing a lot of support and grace for reconnection and assimilation. Time to bring her more fully home!

I will look forward to talking about the triple eclipses next month.

Until then, go with love and blessings,
Daniel
