Firstly have a look at the current Nova article to get a sense of the perplexing cross threads in this month’s chart and particularly the interconnectedness of many of the goddess archetypes, while the masculine struggles with fire and water imbalances.
Obviously with the Leo Sun conjunct Psyche, Shiva and Parvati and a Cancer Moon opposite Pluto this is going to be another big month around both the transformation and refinement of inner and outer relationships, masculine and feminine balances and the sacred marriage.
This focus on relationships is also articulated by Venus in late Leo, in a wide conjunction with Mercury in Virgo, trining the liberating Uranus in Aries, something that offers greater freedom to love with passion and feistiness!
However Venus also squares Mars in Scorpio which is a bit of a standoff between two powerful signs of equal passion but passion expressed differently. The extrovert nature of Leo is quite different to the intense smouldering potency of the Scorpion that their meeting can also be highly erotic, in that fight or f… kind of way. So obviously this needs a degree of careful handling as the same can activate some serious conflict or unexpressed anger within a connection.
As I mentioned in Nova, this whole tantric conjunction in Leo gets great support from Saturn and, from the healing goddess Hygeia, who offers additional support towards the refinement of the sacred marriage theme through her connection to the Indian Goddess Lalita, the goddess of sacred sexuality.
This Hygeia/Lalita influence becomes extraordinarily potent on the second eclipse by conjuncting Venus and opposing Uranus, a fabulous transit for great heart and sexual healing and for liberating releases and awakenings.
Neptune conjunct South Node in Pisces
So here we have the planetary ruler of Pisces in this most mystical signs and right on the most obvious astrological representative of our past life records. This is been hovering since early July and will continue to do so, going exact on the 20th 21st of November.
Mystically and karmically this is incredibly significant; the veil between our here and now reality and, our past life history, influences and samscaras (a descriptive Sanskrit term for heavy duty karmic influences, but ones that can be worked with!)
So whatever has been our most current influential past life scenarios are very close to the surface and in all of us, a situation that can contribute to the psychic turmoil of this time whether personally or collectively but also offers fantastic opportunities for flushing out psychic emotional debris from these sources as well is opening up to gifts, knowledge and skills from the very same.
With Neptune as the instigator, one of the threads here is the reclamation of spiritual, psychic and healing gifts gathered over many incarnations. But even in the most mundane of past life experiences, those that are significant will be equally close and self and available for access. Subsequently this is an ideal time for past life regression work, soul retrieval and meditational practices that not just open up the past but give us that much more of a handle on how ultimate soul purposes and, what we have bought in with us to work with, rebalance, refine and to bring into this life.
So be especially aware of sudden insights and visions, significant dream experiences and even spontaneous fantasies as indications of this material breaking through to the surface. Obviously meditation and any other spiritual practices that drop us beneath the rational mind will give us access to the same.
Whenever any major planet or asteroid crosses a Moon’s node, you will often bring significant individuals into one’s life and in the case of the South Node, this will include individuals that you have significant spiritual and/or inter-psychic connections with, individuals that you may have past life connections with that need completion and/or to assist in opening up to your past life and spiritual gifts.
With Neptune involved though, you can never be too sure about the quality of such connections. At its highest, this can bring spiritual teachers back into your world or reconnect you with individual souls that you have profound love bonds with. However, shadow expressions of Neptune energy include unhealthy inter-psychic enmeshment, deceitful and deceptive individuals, shadowy seducers and psychic vampires, just to name a few of the more dramatic, darker possibilities.
So be careful and as conscious as possible. Wherever light and/or shadow is experienced around this, you can be nevertheless certain that the experiences and challenges that come are unbelievably important for your soul’s work and purification.
Whatever knowledge, awareness and learning comes from these interactions with either outer individuals or inner past life re-visitations, you can be certain that they will contribute to what gets revealed in these next eclipses around your ultimate soul purposes, especially the first eclipse and its alignment with the North Node in Virgo.
Neptune/South Node conjunction in Pisces square Saturn/Mars conjunction in Sagittarius
The presence of Saturn Mars conjunction exactly midway between the two Nodes means that whatever emerges from the opening of either Node, we will get immediately challenged by these two masculine sources of here and now realism.
At its best, this conjunction’s challenge is about what can you actually do and to manifest from these relatively nebulous soul inspired visions. In other words what can we actually do with them!? When these parts of self are working well, we get supported to make the translations from vision into manifestation, by voices of clear and healthy realism.
However, as most of us know, Saturn and Mars can represent denser expressions of the masculine, whose intelligence has been compromised by negative patriarchal influences that are more dream stealers than dream realisers.
One of the challenges there is to how much we can stay firm in our own truth and wisdom, in our own clarity and core of stillness when the voices of the inner critic take on their harsher, more rigid and judgemental forms.
And this is also Saturn’s work, to throw these role tests, these obstacle courses and inner gauntlets at us, to see what is truly real and find out how much we can stay with and keep validating what we know as our own personal, authentic truth.
Of course, he will also help us identify and sever the connections to our self-delusions, unhealthy past life entanglements, behavioural patterning and sub-conscious beliefs that have little to do with this life. We may not like his methods but his ultimate goal is the kind of freedom that comes when we know, fully, that we are co-creators with the sacred in our very real, material world. But we have to dump the bullshit before we can attain such a state!
