Firstly, have a look at the current Nova article HERE which came out earlier in the week for a broad summary of the astrological terrain for this month. It describes a situation where an exceptional conjunction of the two healers Chiron and Hygeia sits at the height of the Australian chart for the month and wherever one may reside, this conjunction highlights tremendous healing possibilities for everyone.
The article also fleshes out that the Libran Sun is in a unique and essentially positive grand trine in the air signs, mixing layers of primal depth, grounding earth mother energy with the playfulness of air. It does however have a significant challenge.
Sun in Libra Squares Saturn in Capricorn
Sun/Saturn squares can feel like hitting a brick wall at considerable speed and in this case, the intelligence and idealism of Libra gets confronted with certain hard realities from our tough love inner teacher and from the element of earth, which deals with the practical realities of life.
With this aspect, it can be a little difficult in separating out the inner critic from more external resistances presented by the outside world, which at the very least delays our forward movement. This challenge though is part of the deal when working with Saturn, as he tests our resolve, resilience and ability to respond effectively to whatever circumstances life throws up. He, almost always, presents us with opportunities to recognise the sabotaging qualities of the inner critics and dream-stealers, and how these get projected onto life, making everything appear that much harder.
Mercury in Libra opposite Kali in Aries and squaring Pluto in Capricorn
Once again, our more rationalistic thinking processes get challenged by the raw primal energies of these two deities of death and rebirth and transformation. Kali in particular, and especially in the fire sign of Aries, will bring out her fierce sword of truth when we would prefer to use more socially acceptable diplomacy to deal with situations. Both she and Pluto have a “no bullshit” approach to life and can be quite ruthless if we are in denial or avoidance.
If the demands of these two are successfully incorporated, Mercury can bring out one of Libra’s greatest gifts, an ability to present even the hardest and most challenging of truths in ways that are more likely to be received well by others, even when it may hurt.
Another possible manifestation of this T-square is of getting involved in intellectual power struggles with others, which in an ideal world would be good to avoid. However, we all have a way of getting entangled in such struggles as an unconscious urge to discover and step up in our own power, even when initially the other appears to have the upper hand.
In a broad sense, these two heavyweights going at Mercury is a deep education in not getting seduced by surface appearances and being more consciously able to identify and work with normally more hidden, unconscious psychological energies.
Jupiter in Scorpio trine with the Hygeia/Chiron conjunction in Pisces
In the last degrees of his transit of Scorpio, the benevolent and expansive Jupiter forms a brilliant trine, a flowing and increasingly potent magnification of the healing qualities of both wounded healer and the kundalini goddess of healing.
This aspect is a little wide at the start of the month but tightens as the month goes by, peaking in the last week, a progressive heightening of the healing possibilities of both this month and the next. With something like this operating, any good quality healing or spiritual work will bear tremendous fruit and will often have almost miraculous qualities, especially if we can drop out of our heads and into the organic healing powers within our own bodies.
Make the most of this if you can!
Juno in Gemini conjunct Parvati in Taurus sextile Hygeia/Chiron conjunction
Even though Venus the goddess of love gets a hard time in the initial stages of the month, at the same time she gets a lovely trine from Neptune in Pisces, something that opens us more to compassion and unconditional love. This stretches our more human capacity for love into higher realms that take us closer to more exalted experiences of relationship.
And this is not so different to the sacred marriage themes offered by Juno and Parvati coming together. On its own this is a juicy, exulting and profoundly tantric combination, which is then joined and magnified by the Chiron/Hygeia tango. The latter goddess is also related to Lalita Devi, the Indian goddess of sacred sexuality and, a younger sister energy to that of Parvati, this goddess of the sacred marriage.
Subsequently, there are great opportunities for heart openings, organic tantric awakenings and experiences of great healing in our love lives.
This connection between the two conjunctions will continue into November, as all of its participants are in slow retrograde motion, continuing these themes well into next month.
Go well with all of this, with love and blessings,
Daniel
