A Brilliant and Powerful Healing Month!

Hygeia conjunct Uranus in Pisces/Aries peaking April 19/20th
Here the goddess of miraculous healing meets the wizard, revolutionary and initiatory Uranus, an extraordinary combination that speaks of dramatic healing and spiritual events, movements of kundalini and great potential awakenings of sacred sexuality.

As a goddess of healing Hygeia specialises in the purification of the toxicity of ancient trauma, rage and pain, and given the kind of material being dug up by the Pluto/South Node/Medusa/Saturn conjunction, we need this kind of auspicious help.

As a Western version of Lalita, the Indian goddess of sacred sexuality, this also represents opportunities for reawakening the purity and sanctity of our sexuality. Uranus provides the dramatic fuel for freeing ourselves from shame, religious conditioning and early suppressions of not just sexuality but of the sacred power within each of us.

This is a meeting of two great powers of magic! Both archetypes are connected to heightened forms of knowledge from masculine and feminine sources, so we can expect flashes of great insight as well as healing openings.

On her own, Hygeia sends healing aspects to 14 of the 27 archetypes in the chart, a reflection of tremendous generosity from the powers of healing, grace and transformation.

April is also a Shiva month!

In Nova I wrote about Shiva conjuncting Mercury, and conjuncting Neptune, which is also exceptional in many ways.

As a multifaceted expression of the sacred masculine, Shiva has been related to Neptune, sharing a connection through the symbol of the Trident, representing the trilogy, the three gunas and the three worlds.

So, Shiva and Neptune reflect our availability to heightened experiences of human consciousness, in fact in the Shaivite traditions of India, Shiva is universal consciousness. The Shiva asteroid then represents our availability to stretch beyond conditioned, Saturnian mind-sets into the higher realms.

Neptune is another porthole into the same (if we can get through its muddier layers) this is what is so significant about the two conjuncting Mercury, the traditional planet of the human mind; at this time we are gifted with opportunities to stretch beyond the limitations of the rational intellect, into infinitely more expanded versions of awareness.

On a practical level this is a brilliant time for meditation, for consciousness-raising techniques and for connecting with the stillness inside our own bodies, inside our own awareness that is also our link to the transcendent.

For practitioners of Shaivism, the Shiva Shakti traditions and of authentic Tantric, this is an incredibly auspicious time for connecting with the sacred masculine. Well may we say “Om Namah Shivaya”!

Medusa and Persephone join the Saturn/South Node/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn!
As if this conjunction wasn’t powerful enough! With Medusa jumping headlong into this cauldron of past life purification and transformation, then we can expect simultaneous upwellings of trauma relating to the destruction of the goddess traditions across the planet in past centuries, and equally ancient streams of knowledge, wisdom and power from generations of medicine women.

Medusa is followed up by Persephone who will line up with the big three in the second half of the month, staying close well into May. In terms of clearing past material, Persephone tends to focus on earlier traumatic death and birth experiences embedded in our subconscious, as well as unhealed grief from a variety of sources.

Simultaneously though, Persephone can reconnects us with ancient sources of knowledge and experience about processes of transformation, initiatory rites of passage and ceremonial work, and the ability to hold deep space for others going through any form of major life transition.

Many of you who are natural death doulas, rites of passage facilitators, primal and breath therapists, spiritual and shamanic midwives can thank the archetypal Persephone for holding your knowledge and innate ability in these areas.

Multiple Shiva Shakti and Sacred Marriage Connections
This is a significant month for relationship development and evolution thanks to several classic, and not so obvious, archetypal connections between masculine and feminine, operating on different levels of psychological and spiritual depth.

These include

  • the goddess of soul connections Psyche in Aquarius this directly opposite her eventual husband Eros in Leo.
  • the stationary Jupiter in Sagittarius is also directly opposite his consort Juno in Gemini.
  • Queen of the underworld Persephone gets close enough to conjunct in her husband Pluto at the end of the month and into May.
  • Shiva in Pisces sextiles his consort Kali in Taurus, a classic Shiva Shakti connection with the two travelling in tandem for the entire month.

And not so classically (these are a couple of my pet theories)

  • The Witch Queen Hekate in Virgo is trining Saturn in Capricorn (yes, this may challenge traditional beliefs, but if you get past each of their negative reputations, and the earlier battles between goddess traditions with the patriarch, you may find that these two are an elder couple of great depth, wisdom and mutual respect! This is something I experienced directly in the 2012 Kimberly camel trek, in myself and in our group).
  • Kundalini goddess of healing Hygeia and the wizard revolutionary Uranus. Here are two archetypes that directly influence the movement of the sacred power Kundalini within our bodies, who share often magical and miraculous capabilities for sudden healing and awakening. This is a combination of great Shakti!

To summarise this, alongside the deep alchemy around past life influences, gifts and abilities, there is also a great deal of positive pressure from the polarities between masculine and feminine towards enhancing our relationships, for appreciating and enjoying the spark of those polarities, especially between traditional couples, Jupiter and Juno, Eros and Psyche in particular.

The deeper Shiva Shakti connections, Shiva and Kali, Uranus and Hygeia and Persephone with Pluto, combine great transformative power with equally powerful grace and the possibilities for great psychospiritual, psychosexual awakenings.

Get onside with this through authentic tantric practices, relationship healing work in general, with meditations on both Shiva and Kali and, any other work that supports the meeting of masculine and feminine.

Go well and enjoy that!

With love and blessings,
Daniel
