Right from the very start of the month, we are under the umbrella of two more eclipses, both intense in their opportunities as much as their challenges. And, as you’ll see in the Nova article there is also a super strong focus on relationships and their evolution. So please go to my Nova article before reading on.

The Goddess Parvati Conjunct North Node and Both Eclipses!

Whenever Parvati (or Psyche, or Mary Magdalene) show up significantly in a chart, the goddess offers us opportunities to step towards greater internal masculine and feminine unity and, towards the possibility of creating a human form of the sacred marriage, with all of the love, fulfilment and ecstasy of that.

We also need to be aware though, that in reaching towards that goal takes us beyond the experience of “average” relationship, beyond societal conditioning, beyond Venus and Mars, beyond stagnant connections. And it comes with such a strength of deep longing for soul union, that it can make anything less, like most human relationship, looks very uninviting.

Her appearance can then put great pressure on relationships that don’t meet such lofty standards, by increasing dissatisfaction, magnifying present challenges, as well as showing up shadowy internal influences on relationships in both partners. This can come with the temptation to blame the other or pressure the other to change from one’s own egocentric point of view, an approach that almost always leads to trouble and is basically ineffectual.

Certainly, relationships that have become stagnant will get challenged by the heightened presence of the goddess in the collective without manipulative effort. This same Shakti will challenge both people to examine what within resists love, intimacy and ongoing relationship evolution.

Parvati’s standing one legged in an icy mountain stream is an obvious metaphor for the need to purify our own stuff in order to be able invite the beloved into authentic union. Her presence on the North Node also presents a vision of what is possible if we do the work.

This theme is repeated by the presence of Kali intertwining with Venus in Gemini. It’s been said that it is only from the raw truth of things that any real transformation can take place. The archetypal Kali demands that of us.

Total Solar “New Moon” Eclipse 8:57 AM AEST on the 3rd July

Sun and Moon conjunct at 10° of Cancer has positive and challenging aspects

• sextiles to Uranus, with Vesta and Shiva in Taurus- new beginnings combining heightened masculine spiritual energies intent on great creative change, grounded by the presence of the archetypal earth priestess Vesta
• squaring Chiron in Aries-new beginnings hitting great fear absorbed from early life and the consequences of buried fire energy, a confrontation that is also a significant healing opportunity
• trining the Black Moon in Pisces- new beginnings that have clear and powerful support from this dark face of the great mother, with transformative support that empowers the above.
• squaring the ongoing and exact conjunction of Lilith and Pallas Athena in Libra – new beginnings compromised by unhealed forms of pain, betrayal and rage, the distorted expressions of two great feminist archetypes; another opportunity for potent healing releases.

Mercury conjunct Mars and Juno in Leo

Mercury and Mars make for forthright, sometimes heated, sometimes outwardly angry conversations with a competitive or combative edge to it (exaggerated by squares to Uranus and oppositions to Medusa!) but is also a good combination for getting things done, walking the talk, for acting on thoughts, desires and creative ideas.
With both conjuncting the goddess of marriage, like Kali in Venus together, it is a good alignment for speaking the truth, clearing the air in relationships, for courageous conversations, as well as creating some necessary timeout for individual retreat and repair.

Along with the above are good healing possibilities, with the three trining Chiron in Aries and with Mars in sextile to the healing goddess Hygeia. This latter goddess is simultaneously trining Medusa in Aquarius which supports some healing of ancient battle lines between the Gorgon and the Mars warrior, a potentially explosive combination enhancing any cathartic release work around anger and rage from various sources.

Pallas Athena and Lilith sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius

This is such a fabulous combination! Pallas is both a refined and gutsy feminine warrioress, who has the capacity to concentrate power of all sorts and direct it super effectively in the world (as a Western counterpart to Saraswati, she shares the capacity to use the sacred power of words and language).

Having Lilith in perfect alignment further empowers this capacity by drawing from the primal, serpentine energies of the deep sacred feminine. The two together consequently make for awesome sacred activism and less dramatically, for acting on inspired and creative visionary thought.

The sextile to Jupiter draws in this incredibly expansive expression of the masculine, who has a similar love of knowledge, combined extremely well with the Sagittarius urge to act on one’s beliefs and visions for the benefit of others in the world.

Also, given some of the old masculine and feminine battle lines that are up for necessary work this month, here is a glorious and cooperative relationship between heightened forms of the masculine and feminine, in clear and clean relationship that has a lot of spaciousness about it.

Partial Lunar “Full Moon” Eclipse 5:31 AM AEST July 17th

Sun at 23° Of Cancer, Moon at 23° of Capricorn

Even though this one is less astronomically exact, energetically its symbolism is even more powerful than the first eclipse. While many of the aspects of the first are repeated here, what is unique about the second is:-

• the eclipsing Moon in Capricorn is conjunct Pluto, Medusa, South Node and Saturn!
Some of you will remember the energies of May when the convergence in Capricorn was tightly conjunct Persephone, a foursome that was simultaneously dredging ancient past life material, traumas and power issues et cetera, while opening the doors to equally ancient sources of knowledge, wisdom and transformative power!?

This eclipse drops an emotional depth charge into the very same territory, having us revisit the same challenges and opportunities. It speaks of deep transformational opportunities, the potential unravelling of patterns of emotional suppression, the dredging of distortions to the deep sacred feminine, while paradoxically giving us access to ancient lines of masculine and feminine forms of wisdom and knowledge.

While it is relatively easy to put words to this combination, emotionally this is going to be very tough at times, with deep stirrings around the lower chakras, the necessary revisiting of old wounds but going deeper (constituting more healing opportunities) and the dredging of some pretty toxic emotions from multiple sources.

The fruits of the corresponding reclamation are equally potent in terms of emotional depth, intelligence and potency; the releasing of pure forms of Shakti into the body and, the freeing up of past life traps that have limited our ability to get more fully aligned with our ultimate soul purposes.

The more work we do around our South Node energies, the more the North Node visions become accessible.

• The eclipsing Sun conjuncts Parvati and North Node in Cancer- as I’ve written in Nova, this highlights the sacred marriage themes for the month and, puts the South Node workings in the context of clearing relationship blockages as well. Basically, whatever gunk we get to work with around the South Node processes will help clear the way for better quality relationship.
• Venus joins the eclipse! Having been released from her purificatory journey with Kali, the goddess of love conjuncts the North Node, Parvati and the Sun, a union that speaks of tremendous love underpinned by the emotional depth of Cancer. Venus meeting Parvati is like Aphrodite meeting a spiritually more powerful version of herself and feels like a form of homecoming.
• We may or may not have personal experiences of the above but what we do know for sure that whatever is the nature of our journey in this eclipse cycle, it will at least be an attempt to clear the way for evolving love relationships, whether now or in the future.

Juno in Leo trining Jupiter in Sagittarius, sextiling Lilith, Pallas Athena and now Eros in Libra.

After a rocky start to the month, the goddess of committed relationships (who can also be seen as a Western version of Parvati, minus the latter’s yogic credentials) moves into a flowing relationship with her archetypal partner, a uniting of traditional king and queen energies that is mutually supportive, empowering and gracious. This union is supported by Lilith and Pallas who have been joined by the playful and mischievous energies of Eros, bringing more than a touch of joy and passion to the equation.

And finally……
If there was ever any doubt that this is a time where the sacred marriage is highlighted……

Shiva conjunct Hygeia in Taurus!

Here is in alignment that will delight the tantrikas amongst us. As some of you will know, Hygeia is a Western representative of the goddess Lalita Devi, the goddess of sacred sexuality who also happens to be one of the consorts of the Shiva, that exalted expression of the sacred masculine.

These two coming together then is profoundly tantric, in the deepest senses of that word, especially in the earthy, sensual and loving sign of Taurus. The possibility of experiencing this union in your own body around this second eclipse is very high, as it has trines to the convergence and the eclipsing moon in Capricorn and, sextiles to Venus, North Node, Parvati and the eclipsing Sun.

It doesn’t get much better than this, spiritually, sexually and emotionally. How much we get actual access to these possibilities is influenced by what past material needs attention and by how much we use the eclipses to further the healing and transformation of whatever material arises.

And while it is influenced by what we do or don’t do around this time, it is also very clear that there is an enormous amount of grace available, far from the surface.

Here’s another awesome time of deep movement and potential breakthroughs, so please, make the most of the opportunities provided by these eclipses.

Go well, with love and blessings,
Daniel
