Mercury in Virgo conjunct Venus, Jupiter and Kali
Firstly, all the inner planets are doing some interesting things at the beginning of the month. Even though Mercury has just gone retrograde in Virgo, he is conjunct both Venus, Jupiter and Kali, quite an awesome combination linking the mind to the loving harmonious energies of Venus, the opening qualities of Jupiter and the fierce depth of Kali! It brings greater conscious awareness to all our chakras and the movement of energy between them. And allow us to give voice to the different levels of intelligence inherent in each of his companions.
Venus conjunct Jupiter and Kali
The love goddess stretches upwards and outwards from the heart thanks to Jupiter, lifting our experience of love into more generous, exalting, optimistic and forgiving places, while equally stretching into the wild, liberating and passionately loving realms of Kali.
Basting the goddess of love in this combination can make for great heart openings, fierce truth telling and phantasmagorical sex, depending on how happy Kali is! At her best can take us to experiences of love that are equally, deeply embodying and, transcendent, unconditional and all accepting.
However, if a relationship is clogged with unreleased baggage, limited by conditioning or lack of authenticity or simply lost its energy, she will force the issue, demand that individuals face the real truth of the situation and do whatever needs to be done. Her sword of truth can clear away the baggage, break up old karmas and cut through redundant chords. In a relationship honed in the fire of her truth and passion is reborn with greater vitality and depth, psychological and spiritual potency and can become a human embodiment of the sacred marriage.
Mars conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius
The warrior god Mars in conjunction with the god of discipline and duty Saturn in the fiery sign in Sagittarius can be pictured as a double edge sword. One edge of this sort is to present us with significant frustrations to forward movement, creating a tension which activates old forms of wounded and conditioned masculine power and authority.
The other rather contradictory edge is about honing the raw masculinity of Mars so that we can express the same power and authority creatively and effectively in the world, and harnessing the fire and passion of Sagittarius so that we are better able to walk or talk, confront obstacles as opportunities for growth and greater consciousness, and direct this potency in service of our soul visions, so activated by the later first eclipse.
This healing and refining supported enormously by an exact conjunction of Jupiter and Mercury in Virgo exactly opposite Chiron the Wounded Healer in Pisces. Support also comes from the loving and sacred feminine, in the form of Venus and Kali wrapping around this benevolent and gracious Jupiter Mercury conjunction.
Neptune, Juno, Vesta and the Nodes of the Moon
The planet Neptune has been hovering around the South Node of the Moon and will continue to do so until December. Spiritually and psychically this is a subtle yet magnificent line-up for opening to our past life records, flushing out old residues from this history, while unveiling spiritual and creative gifts gathered over many lifetimes to be bought into this one.
Each part of this process will be hyper charged by both eclipses, so past life regression work and any form of meditation that dissolves us into the ocean of the great cosmic womb will support this simultaneous flushing and unveiling, and therefore releasing energy and gifts to be incorporated more fully into this life. In turn this then support us to be in greater alignment with our ultimate sole purpose, represented by the North node.
Out of this Neptune/South Node conjunction a grand trine, a deep flowing aspect to the earth priestess Vesta in Cancer and, a conjunction of Juno the goddess of marriage with the mystery face of the Great Mother in the form of the Black Moon, together in Scorpio.
The goddess of Vesta teaches us how to create better in containers and boundaries, to be able to better concentrate and direct energy and power in all its forms. The Juno/Black Moon conjunction is a major player in the transformation of relationships and is a joining of two queens equally intent on spiritual and tantric awakenings. The three goddesses acting in unison also support the creation of better balances between individual psychic autonomy and deeply connected relationship.
Full moon lunar eclipse September 17 (2.54 am AWST, 4.45 am AEST)
This second eclipse repeats many of the themes of the solar eclipse on the first but with some significant differences.
Firstly Mars has moved out of the intense double teaming from Saturn and Neptune and is now in gloriously full flight in the latter third of Sagittarius. The Centaur Warrior can now run free and, while he’s at it, forming an impassioning sextile with his mate Venus in Libra.
Secondly, there is a much more obvious emphasis on healing energy, with both the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces in direct alignment with Chiron the wounded healer, a combination of deep masculine healing potency, wise mentor and in many ways the inner guru.
The healing goddess Hygeia is also powerfully and dramatically placed, situated next to Venus in Libra and with the two directly opposite the liberating and explosive Uranus. This is a recipe for great heart and sexual healing, dramatic healing releases and radical tantric awakenings, a perfect time for sacred sexuality practices, breaking through inhibitions produced by shame and sexual wounding and catalysing necessary shifts and changes in stagnating relationships.
With both Chiron and Hygeia so active, this second eclipse is an awesome opportunity for great healing on lots of levels. With both, the more we can let go and surrender to any powerful experience, be it emotional, therapeutic, spiritual or sexual, the more we can allow these great healing Shaktis to romp through our bodies and chakra systems, driven by an intelligence that is beyond the human intellect.
This is why I am encouraging everyone to make use of these opportunities, my colleagues to provide workshops on or around this date and why I am offering such a workshop of my own here in Perth.
Go well with all of it,
with love and blessings,
Daniel
