As I’ve written in my current Nova article here (please have a look at it before reading on) the Pluto/Saturn/South Node/Persephone conjunction is still very current albeit in quieter retrograde motion. This Capricorn Convergence, to borrow the term from the delightful Mystic Medusa, sends out multiple aspects, both positive and challenging, to half of the planets and asteroids in the chart.

This convergence of transformative, generational, family of origin and past life influences are then directly impacting 50% of our individual psyches, magnifying this notion that the tectonic plates of our psychological and spiritual structures are in continuing movement. The element of earth is literally and metaphorically moving underneath our feet!

Moon in Taurus Conjunct Uranus

Usually a Taurus moon will help us stay grounded, while steadying the emotional energies of any period. An exact conjunction with Uranus means that even here, there is great instability, periodic emotional chaos and a highly unpredictable psychic emotional environment.

While this can challenge our security issues and produce anxiety for some of us, it is, like the Capricorn convergence, offering opportunities for breaking up emotional habit patterns, resistances to change and, for contributing to greater emotional freedom and independence.

If you can handle the instability of it, it can also be tremendously creative by mixing earth energy with innovative magic, while grounding the electricity of higher sources of knowledge.

This creative potential is reinforced by sextiles to Mars in Cancer and the Black Moon in Pisces, linking the action based warrior with the deeper reservoirs of emotional and spiritual intelligence from the deep sacred feminine.

Medusa in Aquarius

More challenging is an exact square from the Uranus/Moon to Medusa, which can ignite some explosive anger and rage from various ancient sources but also assist in the dismantling of some major obstacles to both intimacy and emotional flexibility.

Simultaneously though, Medusa has fantastic aspects to Ceres in Sagittarius, to Chiron in Aries and to the Sun in Gemini, all of which allow her to express her deeper connections with the Great Mother, and with powerful healing energy, all the while feeding her fierce intelligence and Shakti to the cerebral Gemini Sun.

Her presence is another factor in the sacred activist themes I’ve mentioned in the Nova article, as Medusa is actually a part of a grand trine with Pallas and Lilith in Libra and, with the Gemini Sun. This grand trine is also bisected by the Sun opposing Ceres in Sagittarius, thereby creating a kite configuration, that simultaneously looks like a diamond but also an arrowhead aimed upwards and outwards into the world.

Mars conjunct North node in Cancer peaking June 13

The middle two weeks of the month will be especially significant on a number of levels due to Mars lining up exactly with the soul purpose visionary North Node. The reasons for this are

• while Mars has some great creative and forward moving line ups in the first stages of the month, he is also getting some major healing attention from Chiron the wounded healer, a chance for all of us to work with the wounded and wounding masculine within.
• In reaching the North Node, Mars will support action to get more aligned with our soul purposes, which will have become progressively clearer in many of us due to all the purificatory movement around the South Node in these last months.
• However, as the two line up Mars comes into direct oppositions to Persephone, Saturn and Pluto, three very difficult oppositions that will frustrate our intentions to move forwards by throwing up unresolved issues from our pasts represented in the Capricorn in convergence.
• This represents a huge struggle between past and present, that can be tremendously demoralising if we allow it. The key here is to understand that this is a temporary state of affairs and, whatever happens, it is an opportunity to identify unacknowledged or unhealed territory that has been tripping us up for much of our lives.
• There is also tremendous support for whatever cleansing and healing that needs to take place, with great aspects from the Mars North Node to Neptune in Pisces, Hygeia in Taurus and Hecate in Virgo, a trinity of archetypes that allow for deep releasing and healing magic.
• Mars hitting hard with Saturn and Pluto invariably brings up lots of issues to do with the wounded and obstructive masculine in our pasts and any pockets of unhealed rage that sabotages the effectiveness of our inner warriors. This territory must be worked with to successfully navigate this rite of passage towards expressing our ultimate life visions.

Any joining of Jupiter and Neptune offers exceptional opportunities spiritually, as both describe connections to heightened psychic and spiritual knowledge, and both serves to stretch us beyond the limitations of our egos and conditioned mindsets.

Connections between them are fabulous for meditation and other spiritual practices, as they reflect a greater openness to higher vibrations as well as reflecting a great deal more psychic fluidity, that allows for greater movement of healing and spiritual energies through our bodies and psyches.

Squares between them though come with some significant challenges, for as much as they can open us spiritually, they can also exaggerate tendencies towards hyperactive imaginations, fanciful beliefs, to ungrounded and unrealistic expectations.

Particularly when both planets have hard aspects to Mercury, who rules the operations of the day-to-day rational mind, we have to watch out for the difference between heightened clarity and potential self-delusion in our thinking.

Certainly, be open to whatever experiences come from the nonrational, whether through meditation or rather transcendent practices but be careful not to rush off with any ideas or visions without applying some reality checks!

Have the bliss of spiritual connectedness while watching out for internal blind spots or nebulous thinking.
