Q. My past three partners have had unresolved issues with their ex-partners, with hurtful and damaging effects. I feel I can trust no-one anymore. Why am I attracting this and how can I change the pattern?

A. Firstly, you have a Juno/Saturn conjunction in the 5th House opposite your Venus in Scorpio, as part of a T-square with an Aquarius Moon. This describes attracting a great deal of emotional suppression and criticism as a child, which has damaged your self esteem and lowered your subconscious expectations in relationships. This kind of triangulation often reflects a subconscious urge to take Dad away from Mum, to rescue his wounded child away from a competitive and controlling mother. Your child is still trying to track down an elusive father while battling with the “other woman”. The antidote to much of this is to take much more responsibility for the hurt and abandoned child who needs you to attend to her. Your progressed Moon is passing over the Juno/Saturn which is an ideal time for doing some deep emotional healing through inner child work or any good quality therapy. This may also require you to say no to relationships for a while as you attend to this fundamentally important inner relationship, so you have clearer space, time and energy for her.

While we’ve described this in relation to your parents, it must also be acknowledged that you have a very powerful and at this point, destructive feminine. As well as your Venus position you have very strong Lilith, Persephone and Black Moon positions which have tended to overpower your masculine, at the expense of your clarity and the strength of your individuality. It would be good to research these goddesses, get in touch with them within, clear out some of the rage, separate from your mother’s system and bring out their power into some kind of balance with your masculine. As this happens, your ample intuition will allow you to be more accurate in your choice of partners. This will take time but will really bring out your potential for quality relationships.
