We have some unique line ups this month starting, as you’ll see immediately below, with the Gemini Sun conjunct in Eros and Hekate.
We have some big conjoining of the masculine, particularly with Saturn and Shiva exactly together and a very welcome Jupiter Mars conjunction.
The goddesses are all mobilising as well, with Parvati and Lilith on the Moon, and a super potent gathering of Persephone, Black Moon and Ceres in Cancer.
And juggling the masculine and feminine interface is a uniquely brilliant Uranus, Pallas Athena conjunction in Taurus.
Let’s see what we can make of all of this.

|
This is a rather strange mix of Witch Queen and God of Love, earth priestess and flighty masculine, serious business and playfulness, deep potency with erotic joy and laughter.
The Sun has been travelling with Hecate for weeks, and with Eros for months, providing multiple opportunities to connect with the gifts of both, while getting a stronger handle on their difficulties. And while the three are now separating, both asteroids are getting lively energisation by sextiles from the Mars Jupiter conjunction. This adds more energy to the playful element and more passion to the erotic element of each.

This positively enhances the healing potentials of the month, enlivening the Wounded Healer, especially the teacher and mentor in this brilliant, yet damaged king and guru of the mythological Centaurs.
The sextile between them is one of a number in this month’s chart positively linking the dynamic air and fire energies of Gemini and Aries, which accompany the creative explosion of new beginnings from Jupiter entering the latter.
Those of us who have struggled with ancient fears inhibiting our ability to step into new territory and to create a life that is more fully an expression of our authentic self, will appreciate the abundant holding support and encouragement provided by a more available inner healer, coach and teacher.
Here’s the meditation to connect more deeply with Chiron within.

In entering Aries, Jupiter has completed the 12 year cycle through the Zodiac and now bursts out into the fiery, go gettum sign of the Ram. Both love new beginnings, and expansive spaces for exploration and expressions of freedom.
Jupiter will contribute his grace, abundance and positivity to this energetic, enterprising and independent part of ourselves for the next 12 months (offering the same to whatever house or houses that Aries inhabits in your birthchart)
And now, adding Mars, the planetary ruler of Aries, give all this energy even more grunt and drive. Together they encourage us to reclaim our fire, our assertiveness and our physicality.

|
This massive wave of new beginning energy in Aries isn’t going to have it all its own way, as this T-square is a severe meeting with more powerful emotional and psychological energies reflected in these goddesses. This speaks of a difficult birth.
The triple conjunction in Cancer joins three faces of the Great Mother in both her light and dark forms. This combination speaks of the need to care more for the earth as mother; the necessity of emotional and psychological transformation in ourselves and in our culture, and the reclamation of our right to base our life decisions on deeper emotional realities.

As we will see below, this is both a brilliant and a very tough retrograding Mercury. He will turn forward motion on June 4 at 25 degrees before leaving Taurus on June the 14th. While stationary he is exactly sextile Neptune, which offers each of us greater conscious recognition and connection with the spiritual sensitivity and expanded awareness of the planet and, its awesome creative and image making abilities.
The trine to Pluto connects us consciously with a driver for deep change and, if we can get past the Taurean default position of taking the easy path, we can be more proactive and in the driver’s seat of self-generated creative change. However, there appears to be a spanner in the works that superficially suggests a deliberate sabotage!

|
This is the one dragging us through the gravel, a square to Saturn, who just happens to be even more empowered by the Shiva asteroid! Here we get confronted with inner and outer obstacles, negative self-belief, hard talk from patriarchal infused inner critics, dream-stealing gloom and doom merchants and other self-sabotage gremlins.
How to respond to this?
It’s to see this as an opportunity to sort out the difference between what is absorbed crap from other people’s reality systems (parents, teachers, authority figures, generational and cultural sources of negative patriarchy) from our own inner knowing, wisdom and authority.
It’s about not energising or feeding the negativity with your attention. It’s not that Saturn is just some cosmic arsehole (another gift from the patriarchy) but a wise old man whose job is throw this old shit at you to see if you are still going to be fooled by it!

This is exceptional combination and is actually the meeting of two similar archetypes. Both can be very hard on us, in challenging our weak spots, our undeveloped and immature responses and where our ego structures have become out of kilter with our core, authentic selves. In this respect both are tough teachers but ones who have great mysteries and deep wisdom underneath their fierce and sometimes seemingly unemotional, unforgiving gazes.
Ultimately though, they both support us to find our core centre with both it’s earthy wisdom and its masculine spiritual potency.

Broadly speaking, Venus is very much at home in Taurus and being the ruler of the sign, she shares a particularly warm, earthy love that is very tactile, sensual and supportive. And like everything else in the chart of this month, she receives good aspects and some very difficult ones.
Pluto squaring Venus talks about intense processes of transformation in our love lives and in the ways that we love. He tends to dredge up old material that gets in the way of opening our hearts and deepening our relationship to our sexuality. This is always incredibly deep and ancient territory which includes relationship wounds and inhibitors from our family systems, past life records as well as more recent relationship trauma. His actions are often relentless.
Simultaneously though, Venus gets an equally powerful support from the collection of goddesses that she is connected to this month. This includes the purificatory and transformative energies of Persephone (Pluto’s consort by the way), the Black Moon and from the healing goddess Hygeia opposite her in Scorpio.

The month starts 24 hours after the exact new moon, with the Moon sandwiched between two goddesses whose primary drivers are towards higher quality relationships, ones of deep love, respect, equality, tantric and soul connection.
This vision is embodied then in this month’s moon energies and this conjunction gets great empowering and fortifying aspects from Kali, Shiva and Saturn, mixed in with a rather tricky square to Neptune in Pisces. The latter will make many of us that much more additionally sensitive on psychic, emotional and spiritual levels. The mix encourages us to take up opportunities for greater intimacy but to be very watchful around projections and lack of boundaries.
Here’s a seminar on the lovely Lilith and her cousin Medusa.

Amidst the complexity of this multilayered, rather tumultuous month, is a spark of pure genius, a mixture of great mental and spiritual magic.
While generally known as a warrior goddess, Pallas Athena is also an archetype that specialises in bringing the knowledge and intelligence of the sacred feminine into the world.
Alongside his capacity as a radical change agent, Uranus has many wizard like qualities for opening us to higher forms of knowledge beyond the limitations of the rational mind.
We can expect moments of great objective clarity, sudden psychic downloads, dramatic movements in our chakras and, some fantastic ideas!
