THIS MONTH’S ASTROLOGY
During this month we are going through a staged emergence from months of particularly intense, painful and traumatic astrology, most obviously reflected by the globally impactful conflict in the Middle East.
And as you will have heard me rave repeatedly, particularly in the Cosmic Compass videos, the same astrology speaks of deep and radical inner change, purification and potential transformation. On either level, none of it has been particularly easy.
This emergence is reflected by more personal planets moving into the forward motion energy of Aries, with Saturn finally separating from Neptune, with Mars going into Aries and with Jupiter picking up speed after a long period of being stationary.
This also coincides with the personal planets lining up more positively with the great change agents of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
This doesn’t mean that the outer world will magically fix itself or even get better, but it does mean that we can get more consciously proactive with using the same energy to create rather than destroy or sabotage.

I spoke about this in Sunday’s Cosmic Compass, a situation that while strapping us onto the wheel of death and rebirth, also provides as with opportunities to get more in sync with these deep, underlying processes, to present less resistance and potentially to draw from their creative power. These three goddesses interacting with the Sun are all agents of purification and transformation and, are holders of reservoirs of sacred knowledge including how to draw from their wisdom and psychospiritual skills.

This has the feeling of the Sun rising brightly after many days of overcast weather and so can bring in more obviously positive feelings of optimism, hope and possibility, as long as we don’t fall into the trap of overconfidence, exaggeration and arrogant buffoonery.

This planet of the mind, communication and learning is also relatively slow at the moment after another retrograde period. This has allowed the two heavyweights of Shiva and Medusa, wrapped in a tight embrace, to stay close to the planet.
This explains why many of us are having big oscillations in the quality and clarity of our thinking at this time, not just because of the heavy collective environment but also because this will target ancestral and parental influences that distort the way we think, see and interpret everything in our lives.

Here is another complex that I mentioned last weekend in the CC video. The goddess of love has just stepped into Taurus, traditionally a happy place for our inner Aphrodite, full of the longing for pleasure, touch, erotic juiciness and sensuality as well as for security and safety.
Even more powerful is the square to Pluto which peaks on Saturday the fourth, which also speaks of tough demands for relationship transmutation and one that can set up power struggles whether with significant others and/or between the natural resistance of Taurus to change and a bigger power within that demands it.

This speaks of an absolute revolution of human consciousness, one that is initiated by the radical change agent Uranus lining up with Sedna, a trans-Neptunian dwarf planet with an 11,000 year cycle around us and the Sun. And it is occurring at 1° of Gemini which apart from a brief period from July to October last year, hasn’t happened since the 1930s, a time of radical technological change tied in with the rise of fascism in the lead up to the Second World War. Sound familiar!?
The backdrop to this is, according to some astrologers, is that Sedna’s cycle is now representing a new limit of human consciousness, much like Saturn was the limit of collective human consciousness before the discoveries of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
Sedna’s mythology, as an Inuit goddess of the ocean, a story of trauma and betrayal with some parallels to Chiron’s journey, the wounds of which not only lead to trans-formation but of authentic transcendence that is paradoxically deeply embedded in the body and the earth.
