In the 1980’s the astrologer Tad Mann created a way of tracking the journey from conception to birth in the natal chart, a ground-breaking achievement in which he postulated that the 9th House cusp represents the conception point.

This, and my training in in-utero primal therapy, inspired me to create an experiential astrology workshop for actively revisiting, exploring and healing any passed down trauma.

In the first workshop in 1990 we found that the conception point is reflected much earlier in the chart. Below are some of the other findings gathered over 12 of these workshops since.

Our conception experiences are as significant as our birth ones, possibly even more so. Thanks to medical research, conscious birthing practices, breath work and primal therapies, we now know so much about the significance of our actual births.

What is less known is the significance of our conceptions. Like our births, our conception experiences are multilayered and even though we are a bunch of cells meeting and dividing, there is a tremendous amount of psychic absorption that gets built in and around our more physical DNA.

The material that we take in on this cellular level includes:

• The energetic quality of the specific episode of lovemaking that produces us.
• How much authentic love was present at the time.
• Where our parents were within themselves around their sexual, psychological and spiritual development or lack of, including unresolved trauma.
• Positive and negative transgenerational influences from both parent’s family lines.
• Earlier ungrieved losses, miscarriages, terminations.
• Even their professional and financial status.

All of this gets absorbed and built in as a form of cellular consciousness, which includes a rudimentary form of memory. This memory is retrievable with the right therapeutic and spiritual support, in ways that can allow for the releasing of this psychic emotional debris.

And like any other form of absorbed conditioning this overlays the pure spirit of our essential self as well as the truly ecstatic spiritual experience that is also our conception, our birthright!

This is the basis of this workshop in Katoomba on July 22 and 23rd, and subsequent workshops in WA and Melbourne. It is a unique mixture of primal therapy, spiritual midwifery and experiential astrology created over 35 years.
